But the anti-religious surely do, right?  Theyre bible experts like Mr Rainbow Pastor here citing the old testament to defend abortion.

That should work out well for him and his pretend Christianity

There's plenty of misogyny in the new testament if you want to pretend the old testament is null and void.

I went to school in England, a Church of England school where I had to attend services, etc. This was not a problem.

Returning the US, I went to a Catholic school. Since I was not Catholic, they asked me to stop attending the Friday service we had before lunch, because me sitting there and not taking communion, was a distraction, they said.

Fine by me, I got an extra half an hour for lunch.

That was funny

Actually, anti-religious people often went to religious schools. Some made a study of religion (not just one they were indoctrinated into as a child) - pretend Christianity is what half of American Christians practice. Lip service to a God they seem to know nothing about.

I used to read the bible solely to find idiocies I then used to trip up my pompous religion teacher, a Catholic priest. It was fun making him turn red, splutter and send me to the vice-principal.

Asking questions was frowned upon. That goes against indoctrination.

Pointing out that pretend Christians are morons who don't know their own bible is not defending abortion.

So let me get this straight, your take is that more "non-religous" people read the bible than "religious" people?

Your stories are irrelevant and anecdotal.  I am catholic and always asked questions during CCD, it was encouraged

This notion that non-Christians know and understand the bible better than active Christians is a joke based on nothing but arrogance and ignorance

Hey look another person who doesnt understand Christianity.

If you have issues with the old testament go ask a Jewish person

And we're not talking about misogyny, are we?  Why did you bring that up and not abortion?

Could it be that you agree with me but still want to argue?  No way, that cant be it

Yes those are the same thing

Humans have been praying to the easter bunny for millenia

Again we're talking about abortion yet you clowns have to show us all how smart you are.  Please continue, this is insightful

Yes, and this is a HUGE problem with today's woke religion in our institutions and universities and on the way out into our businesses and schools.  Same issue.

Because there can be a link between abortion and misogyny. And no I don't agree with your take on the Bible. You tend to take certain parts literally to justify your views on other things, like homosexuality for example, while you ignore the contradictions or abhorrent concepts like those of misogyny elsewhere in the texts.

Yes, actually they are all the same thing. Very clearly made up fairy tales. You are more than free to dedicate your life to it though. Have at it.

Lol and then you clearly illustrate your lack of understanding of Christianity and the old and new testament.

Go do some homework then come back if you want to participate in this conversation, youre embarrassing yourself

Some Christians do read the Old Testament right?

Oooohhhh, I see where the confusion is. You think anti-religious people don't actually read the Bible. Trust me, we very much do. It's one of the best comedies I've ever read.

You agree with my take on abortion

You just have to argue for attention

Go start a misogyny thread if thats what you want to discuss

Was it the same God? Yes or no?

No the bible was not clearly "made up" as there are numerous facts that can be confirmed with other historical documents

Seriously, go ask an adult to help you with this
