April 20, 20232 yr Forcing a 10 year old to carry to term is insane. Flat out insane. Good luck every winning another election if that's your platform.

Gender alterations on a 10 yr old are also insane. And these competing insanities might be the biggest issues on the ticket 2024. Not Ukraine, not mass shootings or our crumbling democracy, this crap.

The difference is that the abortion thing is a fundamental part of the GOP platform that they spent decades fighting for and now they have it and they have to stand by it, no matter how unpopular. Democrats literally have no good reason to stand up for altering a minor's gender. They can turn their back on that nonsense today and gain more votes than they lose. It's complete madness that they would ever defend it.

They could easily shift gears on the medical side of it all. The right literally changed gears on the free market vs. socialism overnight the minute Trump came on the scene. Political party's can change, and quickly if the circumstances call for it.
April 20, 20232 yr A 10 year old is brutally raped by her father and gets pregnant. Yeah it makes total sense for her to have to carry to term AND have to care for the reminder that she was RAPED BY HER FATHER!! FFS some of you people are F'd in the head.

This is just insane. No state should have a ban on terminating a complicated pregnancy. None. Politicians playing God and Dr's fearing retribution is a danger to women and their reproductive health. I've said this before, a woman should have a right to decide for herself if she wants an abortion. I do believe in limits, like 13-15 weeks. After that, exceptions made for life threatening conditions. I just can't fathom WHY this can't be agreeable to both sides. Playing politics with a personal decision, or forcing religious beliefs as a means to ban is just wrong, imo. Don't women already have enough problems? Just keep taking away their rights and treat them like dirt. I can't believe I just read this (in 2023!!) Fear of abortion bans has ultimately resulted in the dehumanization of pregnant patients, the Center for Reproductive Rights’ study of Oklahoma hospitals found. Dr. Michele Heisler, medical director of Physicians for Human Rights and one of the study’s authors, told NPR that one hospital spokesperson said in cases of pregnancy-related emergencies, the hospital "would try to use the woman’s body as an incubator to just try to keep the pregnancy going as long as possible.” Statton told the Oklahoman she "felt so alone,” throughout her struggle to find care, and that she’s sharing her story hoping to change Oklahoma’s abortion laws and shed light on their lived impacts on pregnant people. "I wasn’t trying to get rid of my baby. I went there because my baby was not going to make it and neither was I,” she said. "If only these people knew.”
