No it’s not.  Hiring dopey under-qualified coaches that you have to question, is never a positive.

Lurie calling plays is a positive

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

For the QB gurus here to analyze. How’s this motion?

Awful, that windup took a full 5 seconds

We can all recall Gannon and Sirianni saying they didn't want to get beaten over the top, hence the deep safety alignment. We didn't have the LBs or the CBs to compensate. It appears we do now. Further, we have a DL that can control the opponent's running game (or so we hope). We have two good CBs and a good slot DB. The safeties may not be all-pro but they don't have to be. They have to read and support, not make up for weaknesses.

It’s why I will keep Game Pass this season.   Need to see if the changes at LB work and if there are adjustments made on the gaps.  Can’t fill all holes in one offseason.

I think people who commit suicide typically have a serious illness that makes them feel like it is the only way out of their pain. While the act can be self-centered, that is not usually the perspective of the person committing the act.  From their view, it is about ending suffering including the burden they place on others.  It is not typically an act that the person committing thinks they are doing to others to aggrandize themself as you would expect with a narcissist.

I've asked my wife about how people get to the point they complete suicide, she if you aren't aware is a clinical psychologist who is the director of suicide prevention at a university.

From what I remember there are 2 or 3 traits people most often show before attempting or completion and don't quote me on this because I could be misremembering(, I should ask her again.)

The first is loss of hope, for a person to attempt or complete they need be hopeless.

I can't remember any of the others but I remember that one.

Not sure how once one is there one moves away from that, that's my wife's job🤷‍♂️

No QB guru but saw some things I liked. Good foot placement and standing upright. The throw motion starts out a bit far back but decent release.

Who gives a ish how he looks when he's in a non-contact drill with no pass rush coming at him?

You forgot super slow mo.

That was actual speed

Motion is still too long and over the top.  He also gets a little too tall, especially on his front foot.  Throwing elbow gets too far away from his body, a la Carson Wentz.

And we need to see before the motion starts to see if that little hop step has been taken out of the set up

Also, a whole lot different doing it in a red jersey and doing it with a pass rush and being moved off your spot.

On the positive side, backwards hat confirms Swag > mid-season form.

No, backwards hat is bad and he can't be a leader, remember?

to be fair, prince harry just doesn't bring the same street cred as jalen.

one final F you from the colts.

Blaming Lurie when JJAW was Howie's fault is absurd. There should be no discussion on which WR to take (Campbell or JJAW) during the draft. That needs to be decided pre-draft. That's on the GM.

Hey we dont know if manti Teo’s gf was rushing or not

Maybe not as sold on Hurts as everyone is being lead to believe

If that's true we had to have had something in the works for a Minshew trade

The Eagles having interest in Foles reaps of Howie getting a little too excited and cocky. He made a couple splash moves, got Bradyberry, and now he's trying to bring Foles back. Chill, Howie. This is how you start making poor decisions. Don't get too arrogant.

I'm a little bitter about that. I'm curious if he's not a fan of Howie or Lurie

Approachable and friendly is one thing, but not required.  They are all adults.  Starting an season off with a press conference strictly about covid and social justice topics is another thing.  You need to be the CEO of the company.  Not everyone's pal.  Walking the practices and then meeting with the GM and HC during the week to review decisions made in the previous game is a little much as well.  Just because he's a nice guy and not Daniel Snyder doesn't mean what he was doing was right.  He said it himself after he fired Chip, he was "taking his franchise back'.  He over-corrected and then felt emboldened when the miracle of 2017 happened.  Obviously you want the owner to be committed to winning.  That goes without saying.  He doesn't need a whistle and New Balances to do so.  The less we see and hear from the Owner the better.  Being a good owner/CEO/manager, is also letting the people below you do their job.

Approachable and friendly does a lot to set the tone of a workplace.  It doesn't mean you have to buddy up with the players.  I mean part of his role is to be an effective manager. Obviously, overstepping boundaries and commenting player evaluation isn't part of what he should be doing.

I would be fine with them bringing back Foles.  I don't think it's a splash move but it obviously plays to the fans.  It's not like bringing Foles back makes things easier for Hurts.  As soon as Hurts looks bad, calls would raining down to bring in Foles.

It's all splash and pandering, with little actual sense. It would be a stupid thing to do.

It's like an off-season Ben Simmons shooting video.   We'll see what happens when the games come.  It's good to know he's working on his throwing.  Much better than watching him do running drills as in previous offseasons.
