It's not all this, because there is only one assistant GM job.

It's just weird to lose all these people after back to back good drafts and successful off-seasons. It's very clear that analytics is driving the bus. We've lost scouting personnel, not analytics personnel.

On the one hand the drafts were basically just drafting 2 guys from the Championship team.  On the other it's pretty easy to see Howie getting arrogant with all this premature praise and blowing the next 2 drafts as has happened in the past.

Then you must think the US is "woke” for the many school districts and states that want to ban books about subjects objectionable to the Judaea-Christian mythology (apologies to those whose beliefs I may offend and whose beliefs may offend mine, but to me, it is mythology).  You obviously object to Christian states, to Buddhist states, to Hindu states, to Israel as the Muslim states as "woke” because their beliefs at times run contrary to pure science.  Guess Communist states like China where the state is dominant are okay.  Of course, science but only to the extent sanctioned by the state.

New Zealand is trying to address the mistreatment and indoctrination of its native culture by European imperialism. Study their history.  It isn’t any prettier that our own as far as treatment of natives. 

Religion and societal beliefs throughout the world are restrictive and guided by their own beliefs and mythologies. I am not excusing those, frankly they are contrary to my own beliefs and libertarianism, but "woke”?  That term is overused and nonsense.  

Sounds like some of the teachings have nothing to do with science nor "supernatural ".  What is "woke” about that?  I assume you object to the supernatural aspects of virgin birth/resurrection, God (in and of itself), meditation for years, God communication with "prophets” etc, as "woke” as well.  Or is a native, non white, non Judaea-Christian approach the objection? 

 

If Weidl eaves, which I'm not sure is even a lock yet, Brown, Hunt, or Nagy seem like the guys to keep an eye on.

Why do you carry?  That’s the problem.  This suggests guns to deal with other people. This is gun worship. Pistols are worthless except against other humans. I hunted when I was younger. Pistols don’t work for hunting.  Hell, they are such an ineffective tool.  Make no mistake, guns are tools of death.  Good for huntings.   

Never took a firearm anywhere I wasn’t hunting.   30.6 and a good shotgun are sufficient to hunt.  No huge clips.  If you get off two shots, you are a heck of a hunter.    A .22 for varmints but not an issue for most of us. Learned to shoot with one but have had one in my hands in years. (Taught my son to shoot with one.)  40 guns is ridiculous.  Carrying is absurd.  Clips and semiautomatics are absurd.  Australia has it right. 

My ancestors grew up on the frontier.  Those movies are ridiculous. I have my great, great grandfather’s rifle.  Flint action, single shot.  No pistol on the hip.  I think @Original Sin is right.  Video game shoot ‘em games.  How many TV shows where the agent/officer kills the bad guy?  On the street the next day.  BS, firearm confiscated and desk duty at best.  Saw a "hero” movie the other day where he was killing bad guys, left and right. Basically a vigilante. No investigation or detention.  BS.  Leads to gun worship.  

BTW, I believe in unloaded guns in a safe with trigger lots.  Nothing I am going to hunt is going to come in my house.  Pump action sound is all the deterrent I need
