@Mike31mt instead of going back and forth about nepotism, lets get into the real issue.

What negative impact will Julian Lurie holding the title of Business and Football Operations Strategy have on the Eagles ??

Will it impact scouting, drafting, coaching or gameplay negatively ??  What is the impact that we the fans will feel ??

Ramdon thought.  Does anyone have a vintage Reggie white jersey? I was thinking about getting one.  Seriously no debate hands down best Defensive lineman ever.

I have one. I’d tell you get an authentic Wilson brand white jersey. They are tougher to find but the quality is really good. If you can’t find Wilson brand I’d go either Sand knit or russell from that era. Don’t go mitchell and mess. Quality on their jerseys have gone downhill and isn’t as good. Actually pm there’s two good ones out there right now but it depends on what size jersey you wear.

No one, it's a made up position

Exactly.

They made a position for him within the Eagles that deals with both the business and football side, so that way he continues to learn the business to one day take it over.

@Mike31mt is making it seem like he stole this position from some hard-working person who was more qualified than him to have it. Then, without knowing what this position actually entitles him to, assumes that it is a position of authority in which he will boss people around and when someone disagrees with him he will run to daddy like a petulant little child.

The way he is hemming and hawing about this, makes me think that he had a job in the past where he was passed up for a promotion for the owner's son/daughter and now all nepotism in the workplace should be banned.

Howie Roseman has secretly been bullying Julian for years

It could impact a lot, actually.  People may start to question if the organization is really hiring the most qualified individuals or just friends/family when they need a gig.

People arent going to stick around if they start to think the owner is making decisions in the best interest of his family instead of the organization.

Maybe there is an employee who had their eye on this job, who actually worked up the ladder and didnt get placed into a phony training program or get sent off to harvard.  You think theyre staying with the team?

Is this the most urgent thing ever?  No.  But its a bas decision and its indicative of the type of thinking thats going on in the novacare.

We havent exactly been great at retaining executive talent, either.

I spend a lot of time on this board, they could have made a position for me too.

Fake a DNA test to make it seem like you are a long-lost relative to Jeff Lurie and you should get a job with no problem.  ;)

The point of the Eagles is to win football games, not ensure Luries future generations have a cozy spot in the organization

And I love all the free psychoanalysis but I can promise you all Im doing just fine.  I just call a spade a spade.

The position was created for him

People arent going to stick around if they start to think the owner is making decisions in the best interest of his family instead of the organization.

See above

First off, you have no idea what the function of this newly created position even is.

Secondly, there is no employee who had their eye on the job, the position was just created.

Third, the training program is not phony.

You still have yet to give one example of how it would impact the product on the field.

You dont answer questions when asked...already showing a weakness...youre clearly not qualified.

I guess having 10k more posts than you, I will have to also have a position created and you will have to work for me.

If it makes anyone feel any better, Julian will have to pay 40% estate tax when he inherits the Eagles. Probably around 2 billion.

Not to mention the Pennsylvania inheritance tax on top of that.

I don't know what kind of marriage agreement they have but the team under normal laws would pass to his wife without being applicable to inheritance tax.

Some of you are going to lose your mind when lil' Howie Roseman Jr gets a job in the front office

Wait! Howie has reproduced? I thought there was a UN resolution prohibiting it.

Work smarter not harder

Don't we have the next 50 years to talk about Julian Lurie?

There's 4 of those little **** running around. He's creating an army.

So I know coal mining can affect the lungs….didn’t realize it also melts your brain. What a maroon

I dont need to know the function!  Thats not the point.

The fact that they created this out of thin air doesnt really help your argument.  In fact, it makes me question whether it's a true need for the organization.   Again, goes back to my statement, its the Philadelphia Eagles and not the Philadelphia Luries, and if Jeff wants to continue acting in the best interests of his family instead of the organization, we'll be no better than the Commanders.

And having your front office in a poor state absolutely affects the product on the field.  What the hell.

So you have no idea what the job is or does but still want to complain.

Do you know what any of these people do ???
