What about the Colorado Rapids and English soccer team Arsenal?  Is he involved on a daily basis there too, or does he only care about the Nuggets and Avalanche?

He probably budgets his time the way he sees fit. Don't see the relevance here unless Julian's dad gives him four high profile jobs at the same time.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

As a Tesla stockholder, I wish this dude would shut up and work for his companies instead trying make a dope offer for another.

How so?

Dont just pop in with quizzical pot shots, tell me how I'm backtracking

Its you guys who are apparently aghast at my view of sports owners being relatively hands-off.

The Kroenkes own 4 sports franchises and a theme park.  I guess there are 7 days in a week so he must go from one to the other by the hour.

I think most of the issue is that Julian is a weenie name and he has a potentially punchable face.  Also, he dresses like a a rich preppy guy that went to an Ivy League school.

I'm not going to stand for this type of slander

All he needs is to have four kids and give them each a job. Problem solved!

Maybe put on a meshback hat, get a pick-up truck and take a picture of yourself with some guns then.

How many kids does he have that can work in the FO?

He's a cat dad. He and his partner are "child free."

No no no, wait minute now.

Downunder has gone through all the trouble of bringing up all these examples to show how common it is to have owners and their family in these types of positions

We need to thoroughly vet this out, cant have unsubstantiated claims and Ive been charged with proving that theyre not involved.

So as part of my investigation Im wondering how he has time to get intimately involved with 4 major sports franchies all at the same time.  This is super common so it should be easy to explain.

He must have gone to like 4 ivy league schools and participated in dozens of intern programs to learn to budget his time.

So youre still mad that Julian got a job in the organization when he needs to get a job within the organization before he gets that job in the organization....and all owners dont know anything about the organization that they own but Julian will be the odd ball and create the playbook, be the coach, wash the jerseys, and meal prep all at the same time.

You are missing the point, he was handed the job with the Nuggets and Avalanche and is involved in the day to day of both teams.

You are upset about Lurie's kid getting a meaningless job, meanwhile Kroenke handed the keys to two franchises to his kid who is heavily involved in day to day operations.

Yes. Julian should get a job with the Tennessee Titans and work his way up the organization there before he can have any role here

You already said you were going to vet this out, we are still waiting.

The fact that owners arent involved in day to day operations is common knowledge.

That is why Jerry Jones is infamous, because he is unique in his involvement.

Ill go team by team later so theres nothing "unsubstantiated"

People are aghast that you won't change your view based on the evidence presented.  Julian Lurie isn't an outlier of a hire vs. every other NFL franchise.

Name a more intimidating trio

Top Ten Tuesday: Worst Howie Roseman MovesRickie Fowler, 26Jon Ferrari

Am I following this correctly?  @Mike31mthas no clue what the role VP of Business and Football Operations Strategy even does, yet is so convinced Julian is unqualified and will have a negative impact of the daily activities of the team.

No, because he's not even a VP

At least Ferrari has a cool name

While Julian learns the ropes in the front office, I'll learn some fire in the hole.

Well, you can and you didn't.

No matter. This circular argument has worn me out. I think I'll have lunch and swim a few laps.

Needless to say, I'll wait a half hour before going in the water.

Not sure how many of you have seen Justified, but @Mike31mt is like Dickie Bennett, all butt hurt that Mom handed the family business over to his brother Doyle while he got nothing.
