Playoff game: Hurts completed 23 of 43 passes for 258 yards with a touchdown and the two interceptions. He ran for 39 yards on 8 carries. We played the defending Super Bowl champions in their stadium in the playoffs as an extremely inexperienced roster and coaching staff. A far more talented championship defense against a very inexperienced offense. Also wasn't like the running game was crap down. We pretty much abandoned it from the start. There were 3 runs by. RB in the first half. It looked like the offense we had in the first 6 or so games of the season.

There has been analysis out there that showed WRs were open, just not thrown to. So we had to move from a scheme exploiting O to an impose your will O, which works until you run into a team that you can't, like in the playoffs. No. Under no circumstance is the playcalling fine to good when you are passing as heavily as we are and only handing it off to a RB once or twice in the first half of games. Especially not fine to good when you have a young inexperienced QB. They needed to incorporate the run more and bring a more balanced offense, it was glaringly obvious and once they did they started to win.

Allen, Mahomes, and Herbert are all 6’3” and taller, Tua, Hurts, Murray and Baker are all shorter than 6’2”. Unless one of these short QB’s become as proficient as R Wilson in the passing game, none of them will likely have long term success. One of the reasons Dickerson didn’t play C last year might be because he doesn’t know the protections to call them out for Hurts like Kelce does. The o common sense reason is he’s way to big for Hurts to see around if he actually stayed in, and god forbid, actually moved up in the pocket, like every normal QB has done since football began. In Hurts case, not only is he short, but he puts his eyes down to watch the rush, so when he looks back up, who knows what he can or can’t see. If the Eagles would actually use the allotted practice time given to them by the NFL CBA, Hurts could be practicing staying in the pocket, with a 2.5 second rule. Not this 7vs7 BS where he gets 3 seconds to throw bombs on the defense when a receiver finally gets open, FFS, I could do that. Sam Bradford should of had a Gold Jacket made for his 2015 7vs7 performance.

Now during the regular season you are not going to see the same quality that you are in the playoffs, but that is with every sport. The Pistons in 04, the Spurs dynasty, Miami Heat, the Warriors from 2015-2019, and the Celtics you see today are all great defensive teams. Some of the best defensive players we have ever seen played in the zone defense era. I don't respect the game today which is why I dont watch as much. Like I said the rules in the NBA and NFL benefit offense and scoring, defense is secondary until the playoffs in both sports where refs let teams get a lot more grabby and physical and ay defense. Defense still win championships in both sports but offense sells tickets, it's a shame that it takes 82 games until they let teams play D. Having said that Defense in this zone era is all About chasing teams off the 3 or closing in on those shots as teams are hoisting up 45+ a game. The team that can defend the 3 more effectively increases their chances of winning. Most games in today's NBA is decided by which team hits the most 3s. Mid range game is non existent in the NBA because it's considered a bad shot, layup/dunk or 3 nothing in between makes the game uninteresting stale and predictable. But hey if you like modern nba you're not alone.

That hurts to watch(no pun intended). With all the reports of Hurts’ improvements over the offseason, his ability to read and make the right decision and make it faster has to be the one thing he improved on the most.

It will be interesting to see if the Coaches follow suit even if it's to a detriment, or they lean on the run to win more games. Steichen is a run heavy coach. The biggest complaint from his Chargers days calling plays is they ran too much and didn't let Herbert deal. Herbert has demonstrated that he can deal so that criticism has some basis. The Eagles? Little different story there.

Dozens of people killed as a direct result of those riots. Both were awful, it doesn't have to be an either or. Setting entire city blocks on fire for a political aim is, by definition, terrorism.

The ideological capture by wokeism of major corporations today is really astonishing.

Robert Ryan must have been one hell of an actor because he irritated me in almost everything I saw him in, which was the point of most of his roles. If he was anything like that in real life I couldn’t have taken more than two minutes before throwing a punch at him. I’m pretty much with you regarding Robert Ryan. In The Professionals he’s the weenie of the group, which suits him. Somebody has to be because everyone else is a badass, including Claudia Cardinale and Maria Gomez, who plays Chiquita. June 10, 20223 yr One of the things winning a SB has changed for me. Before I used to hate going back and watching classic NFL game highlights and stuff because it would always make me think of the Eagles always losing and making me bitter. But now I find myself going back and watching it a lot more. Even though the video quality is dog crap and some highlights have no score graphics, but there's a certain charm to it. Also I Fing hate domes. Classic NFL highlights outdoors are always better.
