I wouldn’t say common. But they do climb up the trees and tree branches so if the branches go over the roof they can land on the roof and find their way into he house. I’ve been stung by one before. It’s not that bad. Like a wasp or be sting except just go numb for like 4-5 hours. Also depends on what part of town you are in you get more wild life. Where i live most javalina wild life. Where my parents live they get javalina, deer, mountain lion, bobcat, rattle snakes, scorpions, desert toads (poisonous and dogs tend to go after them so need to wash mouths out if they do), roadrunners, hawks, owls and bats.

How do you kill those things?  Or do you just trap them and set them free outside or something?

Finding a scorpion is the house is not a huge deal. I’d much rather have them than venomous snakes (especially with dogs and children). Scorpions are hard to kill though. They have some solid armor.

I have black widows in my garage that I have to hunt. Pest control can’t seem to get them all.

'Bout a year ago I was out climbing.  I was halfway up the route when I heard a scufflly sound up above me.  I looked up to see something vaguely orange-ish falling toward me.  It brushed past my head and arm, then slapped on my leg, bounced off, and continued the 35 or 40 feet to the ground.

Speckled Rattlesnake.  4.5 feet (approx).  Well-fed, and also possibly pregnant.  A friend who works for the Forest Service was very excited about it.  He wanted all the details.  He said it was "a significant sighting."  "A significant sighting"?  It fell ON ME!!!

It laid on its back for 2 or 3 minutes, then slowly righted itself and crawled off.

i usually trap it and release it outside. I’ve stepped on them with a shoe if I’ve had to kill it. Usually when a dog tries to go after it. They are actually good for killing the spiders, cockroaches and insects you don’t really want. This one happened to just be dead when i saw it.

I saw a version last night commentary over it. Not sure what film it was from (maybe Fight Club, never seen it) that made it even better. Not sure why people yapp like that at bouncers. You will get got in the wrong moment

Seattle - I agree with you. They will be tanking for a QB and play in the second-best division in football. 

Cleveland - Their QB situation is such a mess. Watson will probably be suspended and Baker is going to pout all year long. They will probably end up with Brisset or Dobbs leading that team. All the media spotlight and uncertainty will be the demise of that team.

Houston - Just a mess of a team right now

Atlanta - No confidence in Mariota to lead that team anywhere

Washington - Regardless of what people think of him, Wentz is a toxic asset right now and will bring that team down. Add in all the nonsense with Snyder and the instability of the front office, coaches getting fined, whatever is going on with Terry McClaurin - they are just a mess as well.

 

I think the Jets and Lions are going to do better than expected. They have a bit more stability than these other teams.

McLaurin will be signed to an extension before training camp.  Players who are up for contract extensions would be stupid to risk injury during OTAs and minicamps -- that's why he's not there, and the team understands that.  If Washington had any intention of trading him, they'd have done so while the Titans were trading Brown and the Chiefs were trading Hill.

The NFCE schedule is among the easiest in the NFL for all four teams.  The Giants still stink, but the other 3 teams (including WAS) have a real chance to win 10 games.  Their defense will have a bounce-back season, and they went 7-10 last year playing the entire season with a backup QB.  Wentz will be quite a bit better than Heinicke was last season.  Their offensive skill guys consist of:

WR -- McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, Dyami Brown, Cam Sims, and Curtis Samuel

RB -- Gibson, McKissic, Brian Robinson Jr   

 

Even with decent OL play they will be a lot better than people are predicting right now.

I don't necessarily disagree with this. However, I have a hard time looking past all the nonsense that is happening in their front office right now. You have the commissioner possibly testifying in front of an oversight committee about the allegations of their front office. There are going to be more and more things that come out of this and you know that Danny is going to fight everything till the bitter end.

People dismiss the actions of the front office and the effect on the team because they are generally invisible, but it does play a big role in how a team works. If there is a lack of leadership or trust in the front office, it has a trickle down effect on the rest of the team. Before Lurie took over the team, the Eagles' front office was always a mess and you could see that result play out right on the field.

If they put any offset language into the contract where it can be proven Watson didn't disclose certain material facts, then the Browns should be trying to void the contract.  That was the stupidity of the Browns and all those other teams immediately making trade offers to the Texans the moment the grand jury declined to indict him.  I suspect the Browns are stuck now, and know they'll have to play a full season without Watson -- but they structured the contract where it only costs him/them $1M to do so.

 If anything happens between now and the end of this coming season to put his future in doubt (2023 and beyond), then there's no way Watson will see that money.
