Looking at McLaurin's numbers, it is really sad how bad we have been at drafting WR's

McLaurin was drafted in 2019, so 3 full seasons in the NFL

We drafted JJAWful that year, and have been chasing it at WR since then.

2019 JJAWful, 2020 Reagor, Quez and Hightower, 2021 Devonta Smith.

Those 5 have combined for 248 catches, 2821 yards and 11 TD's.

McLaurin in 3 season has 222 catches for 3090 yards and 16 TD's.

They sure do.  If you watch Carson Strong highlights though, Turner is all over the place.

Two things I noticed watching a Cole Turner highlight video.

He is going to abuse Avonte Maddox.

Carson Strong is really good at things QB's are supposed to be good at.

Cole Turner is a redzone nightmare. Wanted him in the draft bad. Strong also looks like a NFL QB already

Hopefully the additions of White and Dean at LB -- two LBs that can handle pass coverage -- means Gannon would never need to match Maddox up against bigger targets.  Maddox is built to cover the smaller slot WR and shouldn't ever have responsibility against a TE.

With a few exceptions, teams can force coverages using motion, bunches, legal picks, etc. All the more the case with us because we play a lot of zone. Maddox is going to see his share of bigger guys.

Was that the game where the 3 Eagles recovered the fumble with no Cowboys players near on the kickoff but the refs gave it back to the Cowboys for no clear recovery?
