I might be able to tell, but I'm not sure at this moment. 

I suppose that technically, we've already surpassed 1,000,000. But deleted posts (either by mods or anyone else that might have the ability to delete their own posts), have us under one million. 

I just calculated the post number that will take us officially over the Million mark though. 

When I checked, the latest post was number 1,015,283. The official count was at 999,526. So as of that moment, we needed 474  more to get to the official Million Mark. Add 474 to 1,015,283 and post number 1,015,757 will (or should be), official post number 1,000,000. That's assuming that there's no deleted posts between now and then. 

By rights, I should be the one to make that post, and here's why... 474 was the prefix of my telephone number in Maryland when I was growing up and 757 is my current area code. lol

I know I won't be the one to flip the numbers, but I do have a connection to it! lol

No, they're not. I adjusted anyone's post counts that wanted their old EMB numbers added to their accounts here, but those numbers don't affect the board's total number of posts. Those numbers are only a display number. Otherwise, we'd likely have been over 1,000,000 posts within the first week that we were operating. 

The database knows how many posts are entered into the system. In fact your post that I'm quoting is actually the 1,015,573rd post to be registered in the database. That means that more than 15,000 posts have been deleted in the past 2+ years (for whatever reason, like spam or user deletion or whatever). 

So the board's total running count is how many posts are currently on the board at that given moment, and not BS. If it was, I'd know that and wouldn't be watching for and posting about that milestone to be surpassed. The board's total post count only goes up when a new post is posted and only goes down if a post gets deleted. 

So everyone can take a small bit of pride in the fact that we have that many posts, considering the reason given by the Eagles for closing the old EMB (lack of activity). 

 

This team needs to start the season with a solid passing game. The past 3 years this team has spent 3 first round picks on WR's. I don't see the coaching staff going to a run heavy offense if the passing game struggles, there should be no excuse with the talent that's on this team. Passing is by far the most efficient play, and good passing teams consistently win. 

12 out of the top 15 passing teams made the playoffs, and 8 out of the top 15 rushing teams made the playoffs. The Colts had the best rushing yards per attempt at 5.1yards, and the Giants had the worst passing offense with a 5.8 average for yards per attempt.

Passing wins games.

I think Jalen Tolbert was more drafted to eventually be the Cooper replacement, this just pushes him into a role sooner than they had probably hoped.

-Hurts did a good job of getting the ball out quickly and on target to his quick slant options to set them up for YAC. A short throw he had to A.J. Brown and another to Boston Scott stood out in this regard. Given that Hurts has struggled to get the ball out fast and over the middle of the field in the past, this was nice to see. It was also good to see Hurts connecting with Brown on a throw to the left side of the field, an area of the field he's targeted far less than the right side, to beat Darius Slay.

- Gardner Minshew is in no position to seriously challenge for the starting job. He was picked off twice in today's practice. The first time was a short pass that was nabbed by Shaun Bradley. The second came when a ball intended for Jalen Reagor was tipped by Darius Slay and caught by Marcus Epps (Epps continues to be around the ball). Minshew did have a nice anticipatory throw to fit a ball in a window to Noah Togiai and another ball to Reagor along the right sideline. But there's been more bad than good.

-Reid Sinnett has quietly been solid relative to low expectations. I'd say he's currently ahead of Carson Strong for a QB3 spot that may or may not exist on the 53-player roster. Sinnett connected with Deon Cain (who's been the best of any receiver not locked in to make the roster) on a post and then hit a tightly covered J.J. Arcega-Whiteside for another completion.

-Strong got picked off during the Eagles' developmental period towards the end of practice.
