I could see that as a RZ pressure package or against 12 personnel - but in base against 11 personnel are you going to put a LB or S over the slot (e.g., Ceedee Lamb)?

I assume in the above alignment against 11 one would play zone, which would ask dean and white to cover alot of ground which is why both are smaller guys that can run side line to side line

We'll see what happens.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Interesting. He was really good in a small sample size, but apparently pass protection finished his role as the year went on. Don't much about him outside of the fantasy football POV though.

I'd take him, F it. We have barely anything in that RB room. I'd much rather them try to get D'Ernest Johnson. Maybe Walls can get that done.

4 easiest sos next year

Whether people like Sanders or not,  Miles Sanders, Kenny Gainwell & Boston Scott are not barely anything

I would be curious to see the SOS taking out division opponents.

Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts

The Eagles are with Jalen Hurts right now, but everyone knows they’re not exclusive. In fact, Philly looks hot right now. They traded for former Titans receiver A.J. Brown, drafted former Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis in the first round, and have two first-round picks in next year’s draft. The Eagles are rounding into form, and they’ll be looking to draw in their next franchise QB soon.

Al Harris was an invaluable member of those early 2000 teams as a nickel and outside corner when either Troy or Bobby would get hurt or JJ would slide either into the nickel

Was he an all pro? No but he was a pretty good 3rd CB who was better than some teams 2nd CBs.

This idea that he got beat a few times so he's   on the izel Jenkins level is short sighted to say the least.

Al Harris lasted 14 years in the league made 2 pro bowls, albeit none with the eagles but how many did izel or Mills make with the eagles or otherwise

Did izel last 14 seasons in the League? Nope only 6, 5 with the eagles.

Enough people around the league must of thought Harris was at least good enough or he would t have lasted so long.

First Ben Smith is better than Eric Allen now Al Harris and izel Jenkins are on the same level?

What next some one going to make the argument that Carey Sconce  Williams was better than Bobby Taylor?

Because he always looked stoned, "burnt?" I thought I remembered that as a nickname for Harris

I'm not sure how this whole racist points thing works but does this count???🤔😉

I would watch a game because Zumov was calling it  He just had a way of making the game exciting and making it a story.  I won't watch games because she's calling them.

IMO, she just makes the games unwatchable.  It sounds like she's trying way too hard.

Sixers would have been smart to give Tom McGinnis the job and work her in a few games but to go from a legend in Zumov to her was bad.

I don’t mind her at all. I agree that she tries too hard but she’s a rookie. Give her a little time. She’s got a whole off-season to fix things. Even Harry Kalas wasn’t Harry Kalas at the start. Many people preferred By Saam. And I don’t like Tom McGinnis much at all. Too laid back calling a game that’s boring to begin with.

I mean more long term. Scott and Sanders are on the last year of their deals. Gainwell is more like a third down back or third back.

Harris and Bobby Taylor were maybe the only two DBs in the league who could cover Michael Irvin even a little bit. Harris couldn’t play in today’s NFL because of the rules but at the time he was possibly the best press corner in the league. His base move was to grab the WR and throw him down. If the WR got a clean release he was toast but that didn’t happen often.

So? Isn’t that you want - players in their contract year? We have beaucoup picks next year to draft a RB or two.

Exactly.   What was the Bucs trajectory before TB12 arrived?

Most titles are a result of opportunity and luck.  Just be in a position to capitalize.

It's not a 50 year process.

It was here.

Hell yeah. I think there are quite a few combinations possible now if we stay healthy.

I liked Reagor a lot, he has all the tools to be really good. But it’s hard to judge the mental aspect that made him a bust.

No.  Nothing redeeming at all in the pick of Reagor over Jefferson.

Yeah, I'm just saying for this year we don't have much in terms of long term. I'd take a dart throw on Williams, absolutely nothing to lose. In general I think RB can be the last ingredient added to the team.

Is Howard still out there? Maybe run it back again with him.

Jefferson was the obvious pick then, just as it is now.

I really am afraid of what he might do week 2.  You know he knows about the chatter, he wouldn't want to leave any doubt we made the wrong pick.
