Al Harris was an invaluable member of those early 2000 teams as a nickel and outside corner when either Troy or Bobby would get hurt or JJ would slide either into the nickel

Was he an all pro? No but he was a pretty good 3rd CB who was better than some teams 2nd CBs.

This idea that he got beat a few times so he's   on the izel Jenkins level is short sighted to say the least.

Al Harris lasted 14 years in the league made 2 pro bowls, albeit none with the eagles but how many did izel or Mills make with the eagles or otherwise

Did izel last 14 seasons in the League? Nope only 6, 5 with the eagles.

Enough people around the league must of thought Harris was at least good enough or he would t have lasted so long.

First Ben Smith is better than Eric Allen now Al Harris and izel Jenkins are on the same level?

What next some one going to make the argument that Carey Sconce  Williams was better than Bobby Taylor?

I forgot about Williams.  Back to back dumb Eagles didn't listen to ferris FA signings in Maxwell and him.

Yes.  The correct course of action would have been to extend him and put Peters out to pasture, instead of having him hang on to long and then using a failed first round pick on his replacement.

Where's big V at now?  Also what 1st round pick 'failed' as a replacement?

Dillard

Maxey is really struggling

Or... maybe Jefferson would be a better receiver and would help the QB succeed.

There's no way anyone can suggest that Jefferson wouldn't have been the better choice over Reagor.

Not the last 2 QBs we've had.  I just don't feel he would have helped make either of those 2 a better QB.

2nd part I agree.  We should have taken him over Reagor.  We could have took anyone else and it would've been a better pick.

Need to force the offense through harden

Carey Williams wasn't that bad, but when you pair him with Bradley Fletcher and ask him to be the number 1 corner with billy Davis as the DC on a team where the offense loses the TOP every game by a lot one isnt being put in the best position to succeed.

Carey was serviceable in Baltimore, Bradley Fletcher and carry Williams remind me of Charles Johnson and Torrence small except in the opposite side of the ball

Not horrible players but when one makes them your number 1 and 2 WR they aren't being put in their best position to succeed.

Carey was a 2 at best and an average one at that.

Dillard

I asked which one failed, not which one was overshadowed by a lottery ticket with generational type talent potential.

Certainly wouldn't have hurt.

Apparently Russell was a scout here from 2006 to 2008.

Dillard plays fine guys. Mailata just plays better. In my book that's not a fail. Howie is still a loser

This all started from slamming Mills, who was thrust into the #1 CB roll as a rookie on a SB winning team.  Williams was ok, if you use the bar previous CB's set, sure.

Nah, his career has been decided. Same with Minshew. Number of starts, offensive systems, coaches, etc only matter if it can be used as a defense for Hurts.

Side note, Covid finally got me.

The Super Bowl was his basically a rookie year

Hope you feel better soon

Thought Embiid would come out like a mad man after getting snubbed. He’s been a ghost.

So on a positive note....there will be a new eagle fan born tomorrow gentleman. Hopefully this little girl gets to see a Superbowl in her lifetime like we all got to see

Wow. That's some horseshit.

Edit...refs got it right, but can't help feeling like any other "star" in the league gets the benefit of the doubt and play doesn't continue. 🤷‍♂️

Mills to me was ok, he just doesn't belong on My ranking of best CB duos unless it's way at the bottom.

I appreciate what Mills did as an eagle, he was gritty and played hard but never really had the speed to be a legitimate outside corner but in the red zone where the field and windows shrink his lack of speed wasn't as detrimental and he was able to be effective in the red zone.

I would think he helped build that "no fly zone" over there which was really good and our secondary needs quite a bit.

We'd all like to think that.

That was his 2nd season...my bad.

I mean he was high up the totem pole over there when that build happened. He had to play some part

Where the hell is our rebounding??

Maxey really struggling. Almost a liability out there.
