Was he an all pro? No but he was a pretty good 3rd CB who was better than some teams 2nd CBs.

Thank you for posting this.  Al Harris was a diamond in the rough.  Seems like people are forgetting everything you posted.  He was a key part to those early 2000 teams and I never worried when he had to start.  Different game back then and Harris was able to be an aggressive and physical corner.  He also played with a swagger, not to be confused with swag, about him.  I loved that about him.  Big Al Harris fan.

You’d think for him but the team did the same thing against Toronto. They’ll look great at times then they look like they just lack energy/urgency in games. Games 1-2 vs. Toronto they had urgency and energy. They played well but they also had juicy and urgency. Game 3 they really didn’t play with it until the 3rd quarter. But then sleep walking in games 4-5 and played with absolutely no energy or urgency. Then managed in game 6 to find it again.

Also it’s extremely hard to beat a good team 4 out of 5 times let alone 3 or 4 straight times. good teams and good head coaches make adjustments. It’s really hard to come back from 0-2. It’s why the sixers in their history have never done it. Additionally role players never play as well on the road as they do at home. 

just got to hope Glenn and the sixers figure it out on Thursday. Then show up for game 7 Sunday.

Terrible take.  He is playing through two very painful injuries that are clearly affecting his play.  Took a shot to his eye where he has the broken orbital bone early.

This is such a dumb take. The overall, well-known consensus for a few weeks now was that he wasn’t going to win it. It’s a regular season award so anything he did in the playoffs had zero impact on the voting process. He took a shot to his already broken face in the first half on top of the torn thumb he’s already playing with. Just a stinker from the entire team and coach tonight.

This is an issue not just in this game but has been down the stretch of the season and the previous series. There’s games where they just don’t show up with urgency and energy required to win a game.

Furthermore I am not so sure the Sixers starters aren’t beginning to run out of gas for as well as they played in games 3 and 4. The Miami Heat have a very deep team and a very good bench. Butler and bam are the only players averaging over 33 mins a game. So a lot of their guys are much fresher then ours at this point of the game/season. especially when our bench hasn’t been all that great this series.

Harris has not looked nearly as good the last two games. He’s averaging 12.5 points and 3 boards. Over the last 3 games his shooting has been erratic. He’s shooting 40.5% (15-37– games 3 and 5 it was 31 and 36 respectively). the last two games those are raptors playoff series in 2019 numbers. And he’s having to defend more than he’s ever been asked so he might just be wearing down. 

Harden was spectacular in game 4 but looked like he lacked energy and jump in his game tonight. Love Maxey but his numbers shooting wise and scoring wise have declined over 4 straight games from 34 to 21 to 18 to 9. embiid returning there was always going to be a decline. But tonight it looked like he just didn’t have that energy to step up. Maybe he’s potentially out of gas. However he’s also 21 years old. We forget he’s that young cause of how good he’s been. But I’m the playoffs you don’t see often 21 year olds having to be counted on as much as we do with maxey  

Then you have embiid who’s playing with an orbital fracture and torn thumb then asking him to play like an mvp and play 38-40 mins. I don’t think it’s realistic with the injuries he’s dealing with.

Imo besides Glenn not having his teams ready to go (problem he had with closing out series with the clippers) is this team lacks depth to keep their guys fresh in a long drawn out series against a team like Miami. Our bench really stinks. I’d add Danny green can be incredible at times but then be pedestrian at others. At 34 he shouldn’t be a starter but a nice bench guy. Unfortunately thybulle hasn’t improved offensively and you are stuck having him start and play more than he should.

They have zero bench and an ill-prepared, un-clutch coach who has come up small in every situation the past 10 years. It’s as simple as that.

Lol. What makes it all the more frustrating is their bench has been an issue dating back to 2019. It’s consistently a problem cause they keep going back to shake, furkan, thybulle and add guys like niang. Niang is fine as a 8th or 9th guy off the bench. When he has to be a 6th or 7th man you are in trouble. Biggest problem is thybulle never developed his offensive game enough and it’s forcing Danny green to start. If thybulle became competent offensively then Danny off the bench is a great advantage and helps us a lot.

I don’t disagree with you on that. However your zero bench is bleeding into your starters having to play significantly more mins (regular season and postseason) and wear down faster. Miami looked like the fresher team tonight with extra juice in their step.

I don’t know what metrics or focus groups these broadcasting companies use, but I couldn’t care less who is calling a football game and it has absolutely zero impact on if I decide to watch a game or not. So paying a guy nearly $40 million a year makes no sense to me. Just put someone on there who has a good flow, can call the action, and is an unbiased commentator who can add some insights, and I’m fine with it. Someone like Greg Olsen is good enough for me. And you don’t need to pay that person a boatload.

Yea I don’t get it. It makes slightly more sense for a new streaming service like Prime since people actually pay for it, but I don’t see how this makes Fox any type of profit, or even break even.

Lower than last year. I’d say most likely make the playoffs but no idea if they win the division or not. Don’t think they make it to the Super Bowl. 

They certainly wouldn’t make it past the divisional round last year without Hill.

That division is brutal. I don’t see any of those teams getting the no. 1 seed. I think broncos, chargers and chiefs could all win that division. I like the moves of getting Mack, JC jackson and Everett that the chargers made this offseason. They went more under the radar than broncos with Wilson and raiders with Adams. Chargers draft will help the secondary as well as their oline to help herbert. If i were betting I’d likely still go chiefs but i wouldn’t be shocked if any of those teams win the division. I almost want to take a dark horse super bowl bet if the chargers but then i remember it’s the chargers and they find ways to lose. I frankly think bills are the best team in the afc and their schedule is going to be easier than the afc west and browns, ravens and cincy. So they likely are in a better position than afc west and afc north. 

What a waste of money on Brady.  Guy might not even be that good.  He sounds kinda cringey when he yells.
