4700 total yards is not unreasonable. Figure he runs for 700, passes for 4000.

4000 for 16 games (assuming he misses one), is 250 yards per game passing, and say 150 yards per game rushing.

Those are reasonable goals given the talent on this offense.

There are 17 games, so 4,000 is only 235 yards per game.  Not good enough.

That would rank 14th last year, not good enough.

Given the talent on offense, 3 first round picks and a 100 million dollar contract at WR, he needs to be top 10.  4300 at minimum.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

4k passing would put him at 11th in yards. Josh Allen was 8th in yards, but would you say he was the 8th best QB in 2021? No, you wouldn't, lol.

His first game back is vs Houston lmao

Meanwhile on planet earth…

The precedent has been set. I guess that means Bill Cosby would've gotten 14 games?

Great news. Browns will likely give Jacoby Brissett all the first team reps. Eagles are primed to start the season 1-0

Yards per game, you can't use total yards, as not everyone played 17 games.

4000 would be 235 per.

Browns want to practice in the middle of the afternoon, for whatever reason.

On the NFL Radio training camp tour of the Browns they said something about wanting to get acclimated to the heat because their Week 1 game is in Carolina.

Have your guys sweat their bags off to prepare for one game against a team they "should" beat without trouble seems like a dumb culture to set.

Math is hard.

700 / 17 = 41.17

150 * 17 = 2550

Panthers are winning that game.

A little while ago I posted about a couple of the fronts the defense has shown. I paid closer attention to the 4i front but Gannon also ran a lot of 4-2 against the Jets, much more than the 4i, and that got me thinking. Michigan ran a lot of the 4-2, with only two down linemen and Hutchinson and Ojabo as stand-up DEs and they were tough to run against and with their DEs, could generate a lot of pressure. A lot of that was because of DT Mazi Smith, who is a load. We have one of those in Davis. If you can get away with such a light front you have an extra guy in pass defense. Gannon also stacked his two ILBs behind the DTs, which makes it tougher to run inside since blocking to the second level is hampered by the DTs. You also need fast LBs to make up for the lighter front and we have those too.

Interesting to me, if no one else.

This is Interesting for sure.

Last time I asked I mentioned looked like Gannon played a bit of what I said was a 2 -4 two down lineman with 2 ILB and 2 OLB/edge players.

4-2 to me would just be a normal 4 man front with two LBs behind it and a nickel corner or safety.

But if both those DEs are standing I guess it's a bit different?

Anyway I'm guessing the personnel In a 4-2 or 2-4 would be Davis / Hargrave/Cox at the two DT with Sweat and Riddick at stand up DE or OLB/edge then Edwards White at ILB.

An Interesting piece to the Defense I think will be graham, he's played DE In a 43 and OLB in a 34 plus lined up at DT in Nickel 43.

Seems Gannon if he wants to will be Able to move him all over through different packages.

I could see graham having a really good season even at 34.

CAR will win more games than people think; so will WASH.  Saints and Raiders will win less.

You said he had to have at least 4300 passing yards, now you're talking about total yards. Make up your mind.  The PFF stated 4700 total, then you chimed in that 4,000 passing isn't good enough.

Disagree, that is why I have two board bets on it.

Depends on when Bill Cosby would be playing his former team in the schedule.  All about the ratings.

4000 is not good enough.  That is 235 yards per game, which would put him 14th

To be top 10 in passing yards per game, he would need 4300 at a minimum, and more likely 4400 plus.

Those yards per game numbers that I posted are PASSING YARDS PER GAME.

No, you need to check 2021's stats

I don't see Browns trading for Jimmy G now. Too many moving parts for it to make sense.

Here we go again, getting reports of political talk in here that's off topic and attacking others.

If it's 1 or 2 people it's easy to give warnings, but when a bunch of you are replying and adding fuel to the fire it's tougher.  Just use some sense and don't post that stuff in here, and if someone is out of line report them and don't reply.  Keep it on topic, don't feed the trolls.

Refer to the pinned guidelines.

Man, I was just about to drop my Ron DeSantis scouting report too
