Everyone likes to forget that the game in Jax was not a Wentz problem, it's a Colts problem.

The Colts have not won in Jax since 2014....................

Carson was not good in that game but people forget their defense was equally as bad the first half of that game. Trevor Lawrence who was bad last year was 14-16 at one point and is what helped get them up by 10 points. They had drives in the first half of 75, 14, 71 and 71. That’s for an offense that was one of the worst in the league last year. So their defense was trash for half of that game to help get them in the hole they found themselves in. Then Carson went from not good to imploding

I had Taylor in fantasy football, so I watched them quite a bit.  For as good a season as he had, their supposed top 5 OL went through some horrible stretches last year.

I know you’re joking.   But it’s ironic who liked your post.  MattWill and BigEFly.  Two of the biggest culprits.  Self righteous out of touch wind bags.

You are consistently predictable and consistently confused ... and a perfect match to the description Self righteous out of touch wind bag

He didnt put up monster numbers against the Raiders but didnt have any turnovers. had them up 17-13 late in the game. Then tied the game with like 2 minutes left.

Wentz wasn't the sole reason for the Colts misfortune last year, but he wasn't that good either. Yes, he limited turnovers, which is big. But, he only averaged 209 yards per game. In this day and age of the NFL, that's ridiculously low for a starting QB.

They had a bunch of injuries to their oline starting in training camp. Someone would come back and then the next game someone would go out. I think they had their entire projected starting oline from when they opened camp play together for like 3-4 games.

Wentz made his oline look way worse than they were two years in a row. He's going to make Washington's oline look bad this year.

someone said Hurts could average 250 yards throwing and 150 yards running per game. thats 2 this week

No, the TEAM could average 250 yards passing and 150 yards rushing under Hurts. Hurts obviously would get credit for the passing yards, and probably get about 700 of the 2500 yards rushing.

They're going to pass more this year, they've been working on screens in camp, Brown gives them an underneath target who can garner YAC, and Smith should have more room to operate with Brown and Goedert drawing attention away from him. So look for a ball control offense built around the run and short passing game, that takes shots down field when the safeties start to cheat up.

He had the game against the patriots where he threw for like 40 yards. I think that messed his average up. Take that game out he ends up around 222ypg, which is 17th in the league.

Unsure why/what happened that patriot game.

One thing I didnt know until looking. Brady was the only guy to average more than 300 yards a game.

Wentz was 5/12 for 57 yards. Taylor was 29 for 170, Ashton Dulin (who??) had 2 for 39, and Wentz ran 8 for 17. Looks like an Eagles game plan from post-Detroit last year.

Wentz threw for 3563 yards, less that 57, 3506. Per game that would be 219. Still hot trash for a QB in this league. Woulda put him at 21, just behind Tannehill and just ahead of Teddy B. That's awful.

The team showed you it wins when they take the ball out of his hands. so I doubt see the "pass more" this year.

250 and 150  brings up close to 6900 yards, which would of been good for #2 offense last year(19 yards behind #1) . For reference, they ended up with 6100 yards last year.

My guess, 25-28 attempts a game. Which will get us around 25th  attempts. 210 passing yards a game, good for 20th and 145 yards per game rushing, which will be top 3.

Nice.

Outside of waiting to see more Brooks on Sunday, I would suggest that there are going to be some decent RBs cut when teams go down to 53.  There is an excellent chance that the next Eagles back up RB is on some other team right now.

Keep forgetting about Brooks. Generational talent inside, hope he's rarin to go now...Seamolu to be swing guy then...

RBs Dime a Dozen, find a guy that fits your scheme, lot of em will be on the street shortly.

Eh Colts will prob do better just cause that division is hot garbage. I think the Titans regress a little, but the Colts should be able to go 4-2 in the division. If they can't, Wentz was far from their biggest problem.

They’re going to have a rough time this year. Do you know who’s their left tackle?

Matt Pryor.

I kid you not.

I did not know that. That's......not good. Still, they'll be a ball control team with Taylor, and Pittman is ascending. An average team at best, most likely.

If I was trading for hunt this year, itd be a late round pick 1 year rental with him understanding that we are not giving him a raise.

A 1st? Are you sure you're feeling ok?

Not sure if it was posted, but saw on Reddit someone had a theory that Tom Brady is absent from camp because he's appearing on The Masked Singer.

WOuld be hilarious if true

Yeah I dropped the ball on that one. Like JJAW. Brain fart. Happens. Forgive me?

Another way a running QB and a gimmicky offense Hurts the team...........................
