Which teams have criticized him?  I haven't seen any of this.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

My grandfather was left handed.  But, when he enlisted in WWII... he was taught to shoot right handed and lob grenades right handed.

I'm naturally left handed, eat, write, and shoot.  I play most sports right handed (except racquet and paddle sports) because of my Mom.  I shoot lefty and throw nades righty...dual wielding!

Wasn’t the point of your original post about how no one seems interested in him? Usually when teams aren’t interested in a player, they are critical of something. Or don’t have a need at corner. But plenty of teams have a need at corner. But idk why I’m trying to reason with you. Are you like 14 years old?

Hey all, to divert the conversation from nuggets for a moment, for anyone who has a smoker, any thoughts on the Oklahoma Joes Bandera Vertical offset smoker?  I keep thinking the vertical seems like a better use of space and I like the flexibility with it.  This will be my first smoker, and I don't want to have regrets on the purchase if I can help it.

Just get a Traeger or a pit poss smoker/grill if it's your first.  It's like cheating.  Go for a stack later once you've figured out times/temps/etc for where you're at.

No, the point of my post was I wonder why there are no rumors or anything going on.  I wonder if he is waiting until some point in the summer to sign so he can skip out on OTA stuff or if he is asking for too much right now or what is going on.

But yeah call me 14 years old when tried to make some stupid race joke or your other bizarre comment early about going to have sex with chubby girls.  No one quite as mature as the blog.  As time shows again and again.

@purplefiggy  I will co-sign this suggestion.  My first smoker was a Pit Boss pellet.  Zero regrets.  So easy, and no loss of investment on the meat and messing up the process.   Still plenty to learn, but the nice part is not having to worry about watching the fire.

Rumor has it there were trade offers but teams couldn't workout a new contract with him. Probably waiting to see if higher offers come in. I don't think there's a big rush for him now that rosters are pretty much set for camp.

I might have just won the Police Week BBQ competition with my Traeger haha!

Nice!   I will be having a rib competition with a friend of mine from my church.  He has an automated chunk charcoal smoker.  We'll be doing about 7 racks each I think.  Just need a new date, because the date we had selected was chosen for a wedding.

I had a minor freak out today, I was teleworking and lost track of time on my 3-2-1 method.  The 2 went for 2.5 hours.

If you're learning the art, it's the most cost effective way to go.  Unless you're in Colorado and you dry out every brisket you buy.

Weber Smokey Mountain. Simple charcoal set up and can be found at a great price if patiently shopping.

Ooof.  That can be scary.   What was your pull temp?

I hardly ever mess with a thermometer, granted I only really do ribs, lamb legs or other simple things.  With the elevation here I bump the temp up 5 degrees and go by standard internerd times if find.

Looks like what I can buy from the Amish BBQ stand any Summer Saturday. Slamming macaroni salad as well. If the ribs aren’t done when I get there I take the horse and cart for a spin.

I don’t disagree. Just being able to set and mostly forget is like playing Genesis with a Game Genie

Yeah... I forgot your elevation.

I do go by temp.  205 is my pull temp, but I'm only at 150 feet above sea level. Well, 205 and the bone wiggle.  ;)

The elevation out here makes it tough for the fall off the bone style, while keeping the meat moist.  I got through a 1/4 quart of my spray at least per rack.

I do a decent amount of charcoal grilling as it is and have done some "smoking” on a Weber kettle grill. Just so hard to keep temp that way since even indirect grilling is pretty direct.

I do kinda feel like a pellet smoker is cheating a bit. I know it will get me good results consistently, but I’m not a person who does well dipping my toe in the water. I’m more of a cannonball kind of guy.

My man. Find an electric water heater tank, do some angle grinding and welding, and build your own smoker!

Strange. I'm naturally left handed but my Dad taught me to shoot right handed so he wouldn't have to buy "special guns". My teachers taught me to write with my right hand too.

Same. Can you shoot a bow right handed?

For whatever reason in my younger days I would skate board with my right foot forward and snowboard with my left foot forward and I can’t even imagine doing either differently even though both is basically the same thing.

I'll sound like the old guy but basketball is by far a worse product than it was 20 and 30 years ago. It's not even close. They've analyzed the entertainment from the sport

Unless you're using a reverse offset you tend to have a hotter side closer to the smoke box. I've gotten some great smokes off this thing.

My next best friend. Get original charcoal, bury this in the coals and no lighter fluid taste. Use charcoal as your base and put your smoke wood chunks on top.

You can't go wrong with a Traegor or Pit Boss. They're pellet smokers where it's easier to control the temperature and get a consist sustainable cook. Pellet smokers were outlawed in a lot of official competitions because they can make a superior cook every time.

Make sure to inject. White grape juice for beef. Apple Juice for pork. When you are starting out light mustard or mayo make a good binder to build a nice bark. You can't go wrong with cracked pepper, salt and garlic salt. I live in TX so I like a smoky bite so i'll use a smoky binder and spice  it up usually with "Slap your momma" or a Six Pepper mix.
