Didn't see this until after @FranklinFldEBUpper replied. Good thing too, as I would probably have said something stupid.

Not likely.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Sounds like we're trading for someone for a late round pick

I've been talking up Jack Anderson here and there for some time.  It's too bad he isn't a G/T instead of a C/G.  Eagles have Jurgens as the backup center and both Seumalo and Dickerson could kick inside if needed.  At this point they need depth at T more than they need depth at C.  That's the one thing I think the consider when they are looking at the 8th or 9th OL.  Even if Anderson has played better than Driscoll, I think you give Driscoll the nod because he can kick out to RT.

My guess for the roster moves today:

Move to Reserve PUP: Jackson/Toth

Waive/Injured: Christian Ellis, Greg Ward

Waive: Torrey

Actually sounds like they cut a camp body.

PUP is confusing me.  I thought Jackson and Toth were already on PUP?

Active PUP: counts towards 90 man roster. Can come off at any time

Reserve PUP: doesn't count towards roster limit. Must miss first 4 regular season games.

Why cut anyone yet unless they are adding another player? Cut downs are in 7 days

They have to cut 5 today by 4PM

Was not aware of that, thought it was next week.

Something new this year. Cut 5 after first preseason game, cut 5 more after second, cut down to 53 after final preseason game.

There's your Bigz Backz if you want a 3.0 ypc

Depending on the language in his contract. He gets paid just under $10M regardless. If there is no offset language he can get paid more than that - the $10M and whatever his new team offers. If there is offset language he'll just get the $10M.

True. But the new team is not on the hook for any of the $10

Just wait until the DAL game and run a goal line play with Mailata at FB and Davis at RB

OMG.  Has the off season been so long that we finally circled back to Super Weaponzzzzzz

Watched the first half again, just to concentrate on the OL (of course) in the run game.

Mostly we ran inside zone. There were a few pin-and-pull runs - where Jurgens really shone; we ran a couple of powers - that's where the center blocks down and a guard pulls around him and leads the back into the A gap and we ran a trap in which Dillard pulled and blocked the DT on the far side of the center. Amazing what Stoutland can do with linemen who can run. More cool stuff: Stoutland pulled guards on pass plays and the throw came on a quick slant to the vacated side. Did it at least twice. How tough is that on an LB? He keys on the guard, follows him, and the ball goes through the area he just vacated. Nightmare for the LB and the DC.

Can you please translate into a language that non pillars can understand.

I think Jobe is a safe bet to make the team. Eagles seem to like him. I was a fan of his at Bama. If it wasn't for the injuries this past season he would've been a 3rd or 4th rd pick imo

Maybe he can translate to a language that racist can understand too. That would be helpful

Howie must be working the phones right up until 4 pm.  Trying to trade Reagor?

In other news, the Broncos cut Casey Tucker with an injury designation.  When he is healthy, the Eagles can bring him back to the practice squad as he is narrowing down on Vandervelde’s record.

I see the Ravens already signed Demarcus Robinson, so they can probably be taken off the destination list.

Do you have access to a replay?

This board has such a weird obsession with certain things "big backs" is one of them. Tight end #2.  Wide receivers. etc

I think the TE2 was talked about more when Doug was the coach. No?

Right.

That is my point.  You guys analyze things in a snarky way like the rest of us have no idea how football is played, how offensive line play works.
