I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Didn't mean to offend you if I did kiddo. I just know that going from running two beach front restaurants to what I do now is a significant difference. I know that my sous chef and headline cook love being in AC, making a few bucks more an hour and a balanced work life they have never had in their life has been a nice change for them. My stepfather left building sheds for a living to do the Dunkin thing and he has been able to walk and sleep better now than he has in two decades. It may be my personal experience that is creating a bias, but I'd say the way everyone seems much happier that it's easier jobs

I'm not offended and any job's difficulty is relative.  Physically those jobs aren't necessarily easy relative to a number of other occupations.  Restaurant management isdemanding from a time and physical perspective. Food work and warehouse work are a long way from office jobs.  There's also a ton of driving/courier jobs that are less physically demanding.  I mean it's not available everywhere but hog farms have couriers that deliver hog semen from farm to farm. It's a much better job than the guy that has to "milk" the boars albeit boar stud technician isn't the worst job title.  I would gladly take the job at Dunkin over that job.

I think Jags surprise some people this year. Not quite in the challenging tier, but right outside of it. Also, I'd put Colts in Playoff Tier.

Get your own list and do whatever you want!!  They weren't in the playoffs last year, so they don't get to be in that tier.  Do you need me to use shorter words?  :smoke:

That said, I expect the Colts (away) to be a more difficult game than the Steelers (home).

I would be very disappointed with 7 losses from that schedule.

Hurts has yet to beat a playoff team, or the Cowboys.  So that is almost 6 automatic losses.

Does it matter what we think?

Scheduling aside, we really do have the easiest schedule, on paper.

Top Tier: Packers
Playoff Tier: Cowboys *2, Cardinals, Titans, Steelers
Challenging Tier: WFT*2, Colts, Saints, Vikings
Bottom Tier: Giants *2, Jags, Texans, Bears, Lions

Only six games against playoff teams and all have objectively regressed from last season.

10-7 is very realistic, IMO.

That still strikes me as weird.

Absolutely. We are going to be the scapegoat when Hurts struggles.

He beat the Saints in 2020.

In any event, 7 losses with that schedule is a problem from a long term perspective. We should much better than that this year.

Jags/Jets in primetime!

Every team gets a Thursday Night game... so the NFL seems to have decided to punt on that one.

3 days before Christmas, makes sense.

11-6 will be the expectation from Howie and Lurie.  Easier schedule, solid draft, team didn't lose any key pieces.

I expect the Eagles, WAS, and DAL all to be within one game of each other, while the Giants bring up the rear.  10-7 would be my record prediction as well, as things stand right now.

Guess I forgot the Saints were a playoff team that year.

Ironically while putting on the full court press for Christmas Day this year (pun intended).

Eagles better go 11-6 or 12-5. Otherwise bye bye Hurts

So I assume you are automatically putting us at 0-6 vs playoff teams.

Division games are always hard, as proven by the Giants last year, so we will lose at least 1 of the 4 games v NYG and WAS.  Vikings could get us with the secondary being a huge question, and Indy should be better with Ryan at QB.  9-8 or 8-9.

Nope.  2-4 at a minimum - one of the Dallas games and Steelers.  3-2 from the Challenging Tier and 5-1 from the Bottom Tier.

made these the other day....  Nashville hot dry rub, smoked for an hour on Hickory, deep fried for 3 minutes to get them crispy and then retossed in the dry rub.

I don't have a deep fryer, but I have a smoker, I usually just do wings in the oven but I think I'm going to try and smoke them tomorrow.

I dunno - it could have wild card implications.  The Jets should be a better team and they're in a dvision that's going to be pretty open aside from the top.  Doug Pederson will get more out of the offensive side of the ball and they added 3 decent defensive players in the draft that should make an impact.

I like Thursday night games. Gives me a reason to drink on a Thursday. Right? @Texas Eagle
