This case sounds super complicated with potentially dozens of witnesses, many of whom were drinking. They have to interview eveyone they can find who was there, most likely multiple times. 

Obviously you have to wait and see how this shakes out, but the punter telling the girl to get checked for an std wasn't the smartest move in the world. 

FWIW investigation is done, the DA has had all the findings

Great movie. True story. Ann Bancroft and Patty Duke both won Oscars. Originally a Broadway play with the same two actresses. They both won Tonys there too. Based on the life of Helen Keller.

I cry every time but it is not a sad movie. Quite the opposite.
