Nah — I’ll remember the Phillies taking their starting pitcher out with a 4-1 lead after 3 innings and expecting a crappy bullpen to deliver 6 good innings of work 

All year we’ve been poor with the bases loaded. At one point in august we were a mlb worse .177. We finished the year .184 with the bases loaded and just 2-16 with bases loaded and no outs

I wasn't expecting Syndergaard to do more than that.  I figured once through the lineup.  I was also thinking they'd go to Falter next to also go through their lineup once.  

The number needed keeps dropping.   12 outs left to go.

Alvarado should be good for 3. 

Dominguez for 3, up to 6.

Eflin for 3.   

Brogdon for 3 next?

I’m not sure we use eflin as the closer. I’d go dominguez. Thomson said yesterday Wheeler can be used for an inning. I’m guessing he might get the 6th or 7th since we have the lead.

Oh, I was just counting outs, not mentioning the order.   Dominguez is my closer today.

Save Wheeler in case the wheels come off.   We need him for Game 5.

Alvarado gets the top of the order in the 6th.  Suarez gets the 7th... maybe the 8th if he's on.  Dominguez backs him up in the 8th and finishes the game.

I’m thinking cause they already used hand and Alvarado in the 6th who are their best lefties out of the pen, they want Suarez for the next time they face Olson around the 8th or 9th

No one wants to bring back DJack with the hopes he finds the fountain of youth and is catching 70 yard TD passes.  We, or at least I, want him with the threat of taking a punt to the house every time he's back there.  All it takes is one big return for him and teams will start rethinking how they punt against the Eagles.  The return units are trash.  Part of that is they need better blocking but Covey is a ragdoll.

How I feel every time Covey has the ball.

Could be.   They also have Falter.   But, I think it comes down to the score.   I just don't see Suarez as a closer.   But... do what you gotta do to close this thing out.

Striking out Acuna 3 for 3 is awesome.

He’s not but he’s pitched out of the pen. And they used him situationally last year before moving him to the starting rotation in i think July. So I’m guessing he’s only out there for Olson. I think the regular season you have to face three batters but postseason you don’t.

I didn't know that.  Makes sense though, as it shouldn't be about getting tyhe game over quick, but having the teams play the best they can.
