  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

I’m not playing this game. Like I said, a win is a win and it should be enjoyed. Especially against Dallas. I’m the only one that responded to "agenda” and I’m hardly upset. The passing game was good enough for a win. That’s all that matters. But we don’t need to swing the pendulum all the way to to the other side to say a 60% completion percentage for 155 yards and one attempt past 10 yards is solid.

I gave Hurts ish. I was wrong. This isn’t a game I’m going to point to as anything beyond average.

I wasn’t attacking you at all. You weren’t even on the list of posters I was even considering. You replied to me and what i said and i stand by what I said. DUM in particular has an agenda.

But you still can’t tell me my agenda which you wanted to comment on.. right? Then you don’t want to play this game. Ridiculous man.

Same. I had a similar feeling with Gainwell in the 5th that’s not working out too hot.

He still has moments of impact plus I don't think we're utilizing him correctly at all times. Jury still out on Kenneth imo

I don't understand why they go for 2 at 26-17.  Just kick the xtra point to make it 27-17.

I think some of these head coaches have a gun to their head from someone in the analytics department to go for 2 in these situations when it isn't necessary.  It really is stupid.

I think it was more about the penalty than the game situation. It was still early enough that you’re not setting up the final drive situation for the opponent. They got a penalty which gave them the conversion try at the 1. I don’t disagree with the decision, but of all the times you should be using QB sneak….

There was a penalty pushing it to the 1 yard line. Always go for it there.

Regular season starts against...  (Playoff wins in parenthesis)

Bridgewater (0)
Siemian (0)
Jones (0)
Gilbert (0)
Fromm/Glennon (0)
Heinicke (0)
Goff (2)
Cousins (1)
Wentz (0)
Murray (0)
Rush (0)

Can i  say murray is super overrated. I have felt that way since he was drafted and even after his rookie year. He was always going to get paid big and not be worth the money: if you watch him every game he has 2-3 WTF are you doing plays that usually really hurt the cardinals. Also think he’s a crappy leader it’s why the cardinals are inconsistent week to week.

He had a couple nice pickups tonight and hit 5.0 ypc. They don’t really play to his strengths either. Guy should motion out to the slot, screens, and outside runs. They use him more as a blocking back on passing downs and a N-S runner.

A lot of it absolutely has to do with how much they use him on 3rd and 5ish just to run him between the tackles.

I think they were getting concerned with the abuse Hurts was getting from those sneaks.

Even though they had successfully run down the field on that drive, the call was a bit vanilla.

I can get on board with this part...maybe draw up a couple of game plans that have 3-6 consecutive runs on consecutive drives, etc   But the reason I would do it is because it would easily open up some "big pass play" opportunities with a play-action thrown in after 4 straight runs, etc.   The offense could use a few more big pass plays...could do wonders for Hurts' game and his confidence on deep passes, timing routes, etc.

Right. But I’m absolutely serious about having the most lopsided run pass ratio of the modern era. Throwing twice in any set of downs should be rare unless we are trailing late in a game.

Hurts is going to get very good ratings for this game.

ANY/ A

QBR

PFF

QB Rating

DYAR

DVOA

and so on

The only people who have to point at the yards passing and cry have already outed themselves endlessly.

There are lots of games where you need lots of yards passing, This was not one of them.

Much of what he did was calling the right runs after reading the D. When Peyton did this he was incredible and another coach on the field.

I never thought anyone would be better at picking up 3rd or 4th and 1s than Brady. Hurts is the master. If we had a lunch pail FB who did this all you wet blankets would love the guy. He'd be your hero. You'd buy his jersey and have him in your avatar.

Running out of shotgun in goalline situations will never make sense to me, even if it occasionally works

I didn’t see anyone else get upset about the word "agenda” and since I was the only one I thought to bring up that specific word, I thought it was directed at me. If not, my bad. It’s not worth it because the city has had an absolutely amazing 72 hours and I’m not going to squabble over the passing offense. I think it was enough but not great, you think it was solid. Let’s just leave it at that.

Not directed at you at all. I honestly respect you and your opinions.

Also when your team is up 20-0 and then after the 3rd its now 20-17, getting a TD on the next drive is often a game winning drive.

7 minutes and 37 seconds on that drive. It does not count as that stat but its often just as valuable.

He led the hell out of this team tonight from start to finish.

He's an elite NFL QB right now in 2022  (anyone want to cry sample size at 6 games? 🤡)

He's 6th in QB rating and probably 5th in ANY/A and probably top 5 in PFF.

He's very much in the MVP race behind Josh Allen.

He's been pretty great in every aspect except the wet blanket popularity vote.

And that’s fine. No ones asking you to apologize. You’re fence riding. It’s your desire to have another QB BUT if Hurts does well then you will be happy. Political bs.

Iol some of you are funny.

You: You want him to fail!

Me: No, I have an opinion that he isn't the guy, but I'm trying to give him a chance and if he can be the guy it's a good thing.

You: Pick a side and go back to wanting him to fail!!!

It's not fence riding to say I was really hard on him in the past and am trying to give him a shot.

I really only have two things i really want us to work on and focus on after this game, our run defense and how we can prevent going into these long lulls on offense in the second half. I thought the run defense early was really good. First half dallas rushed 10 times for 39 yards. In second half Dallas really got their run game going.  Had 86 yards on 14 carries which is 6.15 yards per carry. I thought we made zeke look like vintage zeke in the second half.

As for the lulls i expect it to happen from time to time. But it’s been something that’s happening almost every week around the third quarter. 3 of the last 4 weeks it has been in the 3rd quarter. I’m hoping they can make some adjustments during the bye week and get us humming right after halftime cause some of these games i think become complete laughers if we can.

Awesome lol

Pretty sure if you did a fan poll regarding Hurts' performance this season, it would likely be well over a 95% approval rating after their 6-0 start.   Most fans (outside this message board/blog) have been supporting Hurts since last season....and others that weren't totally sold on him yet were in "wait and see" how he develops mode prior to the season.

It's the few members of this board that went on an anti-Hurts campaign (pretty much) the second he was drafted.  And like someone said, it has a lot to do with "politics" since the strongest Wentz supporters/fans also happen to be the same people that have been overly critical of Hurts. (I'm sure there's a few exceptions but that's the way I see it).

The best part about Hurts' performance, character/leadership skills and the way he has developed, is that he has silenced even his toughest critics to the point that if you complain about him now, it better be about an extremely specific issue....but if you continue to call him things like, "A RB playing QB"  "Noodle arm"  "1 read QB" etc , you'll just out yourself as (yes) having some sort of bias/agenda.    My 2 cents.

So according to you fans have to love him and think he walks on water or root against him. You also spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about guys sitting on poles. Got it.
