Driscoll is a liability.  We know how great Stoutland is, there is NO DENYING his coaching abilities.  However, the fact that they can't get Dillard to play RT is maddening.  He's in his 4th year in the NFL and has had the best coach at his position for all 4 years.  If he could play RT that would solve so many issues going forward.  It would offer the Eagles a legit swing tackle who you can plug in when Mailata or Johnson go down.  It would also give you a plan to replace Lane down the road if Dillard could just manage at RT.

The problem is his unibrow is heavier on his left. When playing RT the offset in weight F’s with his right leg kick step.

What are realistic contracts looking like for CGJ, Epps, Bradberry and White?

Edwards can walk after the year.

Wallace can be cut today and let Blankenship take his spot.

Just seeing how much that hurt Dallas to lose is great.  They really assumed that they'd roll up and win and act like little bishes when they didn't.  Overall it was a good team win.

Let's not fight over this at 6-0.

Some of us need to just throw out the details and enjoy being 6-0.

And others need to get over the fact that people have concerns about contending for a championship with the way the team is built.

I very much want to be dead wrong about Hurts and couldn't have been more excited by that reality in weeks 2+3.  I am now concerned that I wasn't that wrong, but we'll see how it goes.  My concern is that this team is most similar to the #1 seed Titan and Baltimore teams that dominated on the ground and then slipped up in the playoffs when they had to rely on throwing the football.  We are blazing our own trail here; teams built like this don't win titles.  Not for the last 25 years at least.  But at 6-0 with no one in the conference to stand up to us, it has been a fun ride.

The niggle that I have is the O system is so predicated on being able to run all game, and as teams are adjusting to the O scheme, the O is going to be limited until/if the coaches and Hurts can work around it.  Can we rely on Hurts to throw for 300 yards in a play off game against a top D?

I'm not intentionally trying to only criticise Hurts alone as clearly the O playcalling was not good at times yesterday and in other games, the OLs lack of stability and lack of help for Driscoll over 2 games etc, but I just can't shake the feeling we're kind of near the ceiling of where Hurts can significantly improve further within the scheme that is there for him - in the same way Tannehill is what he is, Cousins is what he is, etc.  It's still good to very good vs 99% of others who want to be a QB, but is it good enough to win a Super Bowl?  That is where I struggle to be convinced. A TBD, but I am pleased that we are seeing progress from Hurts and he is a lot better than he was last year.

Man winning brings out the strangest behavior in Eagles fans...

It definitely wasnt the dream scenario where Hurts beats the Cowboys with his arm.  But there were some real positives, and the Eagles were clearly the better team.

As a former Wentz defender and Hurts doubter, I will say this: Wentz would have had multiple turnovers yesterday and Im not sure we hold onto that lead.

I was disappointed we didnt see any max protect with some deep shots.  Really no deep shots at all.   I don't think they trusted the OL after Lane went down, but that's probably the right call because we were running the ball well.

The offense got cute and the defense got lazy, and we almost pissed it away. That 15 play, 93 yard TD drive to pull within 3 was horrific.  The tackling and effort were very poor.

But good teams rise to the occasion and they scored the TD when they absolutely had to.   I have a feeling we handle the Cowboys im Dallas and beat them even worse, Dak or not.  But that's for later.

Yep. One went out and the offense turtled. I think they figured with a lead against Cooper Rush the only way they’d lose is if they turned it over.

Turns out not tackling, overreacting to play fakes and failing in run fits are problematic too.

CGJ is going to get paid. $15 million a year is my guess.

Epps and White will be around $7 million.

Bradberry is going to be over 30, but is playing at an elite level. $12 million on a one year deal, maybe two years, $20 million with half of it guaranteed?

I still can’t get over the refs picking up that block in the back flag. Went from 2nd and 19 at the 46 to 1st and 10 at the 20. And it was a blatantly obvious penalty. You can’t have that.

Yeah that one was textbook.

Jeez yeah. That was bad.

And yet they both figured out how to put a team away

Coming back and scoring a TD to put them up by 2 scores with 5 or so minutes left in the game + the turnover isn't "putting them away"?

As far as having more balanced scoring throughout the game...it's only 6 games in...I'd be surprised if that doesn't get better by the end of the season.  Because if it doesn't, we might break the all time record for points scored in the 2nd quarter (over the course of a season)...lol.

Are you really pumping up the Cowboys ??

You don't think this was a solid win?

Jerry Jones built the Cowboys roster with intentions to create matchup problems for us.  They beat us 41-21 and 51-26 last season.  And unless the Cowboys are in a "down" year, they pretty much always play us tough.

That was indeed ugly.

When will we accept, or think that maybe they dont trust the QB.

Healthy o line, max protect, banged up o line, playing good teams, playing bad teams, we dont throw the ball deep/take deep shots. MAYBE... just MAYBE he doesnt like Hurts airing it out

Maybe, just maybe there was no point in taking any risky shots deep in last night's game.

Such a miserable bunch of fans complaining about a 6-0 start.

There was bad officiating on both sides.

Side note… I play/work part time for an adult rec sports league. Basically beer league. Mostly deal with kickball and soccer.

Every week I have to use this line to people… "Do you watch any sport? Ok. Those officials get paid thousands of $ per game and are often still terrible. So why are you so shocked that some college kid working for beer money makes the wrong call?”

It’s entertaining.

I am.  Doesn’t mean we can’t discuss what is an ongoing issue that needs to be cleaned up if you want the team to win in the playoffs.

This is how I see it. After 6 games our 2nd half problems are no longer "trends" but its just who we are as a team. Our passing game in the 2nd half is either completely ineffective or super inconsistent. Hurts is a top 10 QB in the 2nd quarter, and then Mitch Trubisky without the turnovers the rest of the game. Its a combination of Hurts and our play calling. He turns into a game manager that is good at running. The lack of explosive plays down field, even the lack of attempts to throw down field is glaring and confusing. Take out the 2nd quarter and this team looks just like 2021 with a much better defense.

Our defense played an amazing 1st half, but then just like the offense they can be inconsistent as well. Our pass rush was nonexistent until the 4th quarter and has been very off and on throughout the season so far. Our tackling needs to improve big time. Special teams...good lord. Each game they find something to make a mistake on.

We are getting by right now with the way we are playing and I think we will continue to do so. Our schedule is so weak going forward that we should definitely be in the running for the #1 seed. I just question and have doubts that our play will translate to wins in the playoffs.

About time.

Missing a call live is one thing. Huddling together and discussing it afterward and then screwing it up is another.

The flag was thrown for a reason.

Does Lane Johnson actually have a concussion or was he a victim of that new overreacting protocol? Thank the dolphins crap decisions for that one btw.

I still fervently believe that Driscoll is best suited inside.  He's not long enough to be an NFL OT, even as a backup.  His kick against Parsons just left him too far inside and left a short corner for him to beat him to the edge.

Stoutland is great, but he's not going to make Driscoll 4 inches taller, or add 8 inches to his wingspan.   He's got short arms and legs.

Yup.  They saw it.  Then they picked it up.  Not sure how its not a call when a guy plants his face mask basically on the name plate of a defender.

But, they also allowed Dallas to line up offsides a ton of times and only called it twice, I think.

Good Morning.

We are undefeated.

Have a nice day.

Continuing to marvel over this past off-season. AJ Brown, James Bradberry, Haason Reddick, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Jordan Davis, Kyzir White. So far looking like home run after home run.

They should make more calls reviewable.

I think he might have actually had a concussion.   And its one of the reasons I am not a big fan of going to the QB sneak so predictably.  The QB sneak is basically turning both offensive and defensive players into heat seeking missiles, launching themselves head first into their opponent.  We saw Vander Esch leap over the top and just barely miss a top of the helmet to top of the helmet collision with Hurts.   It's just not a play for the modern NFL and concussion concerns.  Going to that well so ridiculously frequently is even worse.   AND... they exacerbate it by piling all 11 guys in tight offensively.    At least go with a spread formation and force the defense to play it honestly and limit the number of hats in proximity to the ball.

They dont trust him to go out and sling it 40 times and try to win the game that way, Im sure thats true.

But they clearly have some level of trust that has advanced beyond last season.  Didnt the Eagles lead the league in "big plays" at one point?

Theyve gone down field, they just pick their spots. We havent seen it much over the last 2 games because we can get yardage on the ground and our OL has been a revolving door.

We had that already with PI calls being reviewed. The refs just say F-U by saying the call stands, because they're a bunch of egotistical a-holes who cannot accept being wrong.
