Yes, it's sustainable. We're efficient on a per play basis and if one unit is down, the other should be able to pick it up.

All I care about is locking up CJ and Bradberry

Bradberry would be my priority.  Then CGJ.

Doubt they invest much at LB.  Edwards possibly on a team-friendly deal.  Next year is Dean's year.

6-0 is house money we are not supposed to be here

i love it

I feel like this is the homer-ist take ever, and I know it's only 6 games in, but realistically this team has a chance to go undefeated.  Probably hardest games left on the schedule are the Giants games and the game at Dallas.  As much as I want to go undefeated (first team ever to go 17-0 in the regular season, too), I'd like to drop one of two here and there just to get the pressure off.  What say you all?

Not worth getting excited about, other than trying to secure the #1 seed and a bye in the playoffs.  Other than that, an undefeated record doesn't matter at all.

I remember the Steelers being 11-0 in 2020.  I also remember them losing 4 of their last 5 regular season games and being behind CLE 28-0 in the first quarter of the AFC Wildcard Game.

When will we accept, or think that maybe they dont trust the QB.

Healthy o line, max protect, banged up o line, playing good teams, playing bad teams, we dont throw the ball deep/take deep shots. MAYBE... just MAYBE he doesnt like Hurts airing it out

It has nothing to do with trusting or not trusting the QB. It has everything to do with the offense taking what the defense is giving them. They took deep shots early in the season because teams dared them to. The last two teams leaned heavily into the blitz or bringing extra men on the line. To combat that, you run the ball.

They took Dallas's best player out of the game and got into his head at the same time. You don't do that by taking large shots down the field. You do that by running plays right at him. That sweep play to AJ Brown right in Parsons's face was a thing of beauty.

For the first time in a long time, you are seeing a pretty complete team. Dare them to pass, they will run on you. Dare them to run, they will pass on you. They are not conformed to one style of offensive play, which, as long as players stay healthy, makes this team very, very dangerous and hard to defend.

I know it’s an early-ish bye, but I feel it’s coming at a good time, and honestly, I could use it. Got a lot of real life stuff going on, plus Phillies and Sixers starting tomorrow. Could use a breather for a week to focus on non Eagles stuff. And I hope the coaches use the extra week to figure out just what in the hell is going on in 3rd quarters of games.

What are realistic contracts looking like for CGJ, Epps, Bradberry and White?

Edwards can walk after the year.

Wallace can be cut today and let Blankenship take his spot.

Wallace has actually had defensive and ST snaps.  Blankenship has mostly been inactive.  Seems the coaches who watch both players in practice every week don’t seem to agree with your assessment.

I still can’t get over the refs picking up that block in the back flag. Went from 2nd and 19 at the 46 to 1st and 10 at the 20. And it was a blatantly obvious penalty. You can’t have that.

And then on the (IIRC) ensuing drive they swallowed their whistles on the obvious DPI on I think Goedert where he basically got tackled while the ball was in the air. Those two non-penalties gave me a really bad feeling about the remainder of the game.

I was worried when Dallas was able to catch up

Offense just became stagnant after going up 14 and the defense eventually gave up points

Oh no I complained after a win😱

CGJ more likely due to age I would think.

Jalen Hurts has 5 attempts over 40 yards.

Zero against Jax(understandable) Zero against Arizona, zero against Dallas last night.  1 against the lions, 1 against Vikings and 3 against the redskins...

Hell, they didn't attempt a pass over 15 yards last night.  We're told to be happy with the win, which we all are, but why do people get so angry when we ask that this team opens it up a bit?  I want the Jalen Hurts from week 2-3.  He looked elite.  These last 3 weeks Hurts has not done anything at QB that Minshew couldn't do.  Before anyone says I want Minshew, I don't.  I'm just saying Hurts has been a game manager.  Make 5-10 yard throws, don't make mistakes and hand the ball off.  Minshew could do that is all I'm saying.

The argument has been, is Hurts an elite, franchise QB?  Do you want to give a top QB salary to a game manager?

Being 6-0 is something I didn't expect and it's great.  Beating Dallas never gets old and it capped off a great weekend.  However, it's OK to want more. It's OK to want to see a team improve.  I'm not sure why so many get angry when some of us point out areas that need improvement.  If you're happy with our WRs who cost 2 1st round picks and $140 million combined running 5 yard routes and WR screens then great.  I'm not happy with that.  DeVonta Smith can abuse DBs with his speed and elite route running.  We haven't seen Brown deep yet.  Let him bully some CB.  I'm told Quez is so valuable because he can take the top off a defense.  His only catch last night was behind the line of scrimmage.  Pascal has gone 3 games without a catch. They are running this offense like they have Charles Johnson and Torrance Small at WR.

Hurts showed us what he can be weeks 2-3.  He was proving to all of us that he took that next step.  However, he's been more consistent in just being a game manager than he has in being that elite 300 yard/game guy.

Over 40?

Ok now give us some perspective.  What are numbers for Mahomes, Rogers, etc?

A 40+ yard throw is a bomb

Loss of Lane clearly had a big impact.  Driscoll was offering no resistance to Parsons.

CGJ is going to get paid. $15 million a year is my guess.

Epps and White will be around $7 million.

Bradberry is going to be over 30, but is playing at an elite level. $12 million on a one year deal, maybe two years, $20 million with half of it guaranteed?

They can’t do that for all of them.  And even if they could, at least 1-2 probably end up being an albatross contract because they can’t live up to their level of play this year.

I don’t like the sound of $22m in the safety position.  I also don’t know that we need to invest $7m+ in White with Dean in the wings.

Id pay Bradberry + Epps, franchise and trade CGJ at peak value, let White walk, and reinvest on defense in the draft.

For better or worse, it’s going to be the Hurts show at qb and the only investment necessary on offense will be a high pick on an OL.

All I know is I saw Wallace take some of the worst angles last night leading to big plays.  We've seen Wallace do this for years now.

Does Lane Johnson actually have a concussion or was he a victim of that new overreacting protocol? Thank the dolphins crap decisions for that one btw.

Watched the game twice now, still can't find any footage of a play where Lane may have had his Bell rung.

Suddenly he was just on the sidelines, then the tent, then the locker room. No followup by the " B Cast Team".

Anybody know the play?

The best thing for this offense would be to find a Shawn Andrews 2.0 in the first round next year.  Maybe not that same unique level of talent, but subtract the unfortunate mental problems and it's a similar ask.  They need a bullying collegiate OT to come in and play RG from day 1 and eventually move out to RT to replacing an aging franchise icon.  Of course, that didn't happen with Andrews, but that was his exact plan when drafted.

I know I sound like a broken record, but this OL is going to be the death of them this year.  They need to protect themselves against these inevitable, relentless second half musical chairs.

The franchise tag at safety is $13M right now. That’s a big cap hold for the type of return you’d get. What would you expect to get for CGJ?

They dont trust him to go out and sling it 40 times and try to win the game that way, Im sure thats true.

But they clearly have some level of trust that has advanced beyond last season.  Didnt the Eagles lead the league in "big plays" at one point?

Theyve gone down field, they just pick their spots. We havent seen it much over the last 2 games because we can get yardage on the ground and our OL has been a revolving door.

Teams that sling it 40+ times a game are either high powered passing attacks with mediocre defenses or bad teams that are behind every game.

We have a top running game and a top ten defense, Siri should be fired if he passed 40 times a game.

Should we be more consistent passing the ball?  Sure. But a lot is dictated by game situation.

We are +12 in turnover margin.

The next closest teams are +4.

Think about that for a moment.

Im trying to think of fluky ones...

The Trevor Lawrence fumble #1 was huge and (for the most part) unforced.

We had a couple tip drill interceptions, the one vs Minny was a little fluky and the huge pop fly from the tipped pass last night...

We havent really had a ton of "good luck" turnovers.

:offtopic:

I'm coming down to Philly for the MNF game against Washington.

I need a jersey, and I've long wanted a Dawkins jersey. On the Eagles store right now, they have a decent deal where it's like $90 with a discount applied. Problem is, they nail me on shipping and duties, plus the conversion, which puts the total cost of it all at around $250 CAD.

For those that have been, are there Dawkins jerseys in the Eagles pro shop? Or, anywhere else in the city (driving down early Sunday morning so will have time to look around) that I could find one?

And Slay has dropped a couple too.

Yes it is.  And you don't want to get caught with your pants down eating as much 2023 cap in the trade as you could have just paid him, only to get a 4th round pick and to draft the next K'von Wallace.

It's less about getting a draft pick that will be better than CGJ than it is knowing we've got Sanders, Edwards, White, CJG, Epps, and Bradberry with expiring contracts and that we simply should not (and probably cannot) extend all of them.

To your question...we sent a 5+6 for a 7+CJG.  I guess you could call that a late 4 or early 5.  His value has gone up.  If the trading team is allowed to tamper into the typical trade and sign and we don't endure a cap hit, then I'd be happy with a 3.

Do the Pro Shop.  A larger selection of the retired players and other vintage stuff than I've seen online.

Price wise...it would have to be under $180 USD or so for it to make sense to wait...that seem reasonable? (I don't need an elite or game worn jersey or anything fancy)
