I really think they only did it to lure Aaron Rodgers

This is setting up nicely for a GREAT THURSDAY NIGHT MATCHUP!

I can already see the 5 carry for 19 yard stat line against the Jets

With Russ potentially out if they go brett Rypien. So Hackett being the genius he is might think he’s mark and believe he’s a starting caliber Qb and just throw it. So 5 might be high and gets 2-3 carries

If its about the team he can pack his crap.

Seems earlier in the year steichen Sirianni we're drawing up plays for Paschal for who knows why and then the last couple weeks nothing.

Not sure it's a match up thing but pascal has been invisible lately which really isn't much of a concern as he's the 4th WR so who really cares.

I'd be more concerned why steichen and Siri aren't trying to get some big shots drawn up for Quez???

Quez has had 7 targets since the Minnesota game. Makes no sense to me.

Sirianni said before the season "the offense is going to go through those 3 guys", referring to AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Goedert.  He's been true to his word:

Targets -- AJ Brown 53, DeVonta Smith 43, Dallas Goedert 34 ........ Sanders 13, Watkins 9, Gainwell 8, Pascal 7

Catch rate -- Brown 62.3%, Smith 76.7%, Goedert 76.5%

It's working very well so far.  There might be a point during the season where the top 3 guys miss time due to injury; at that point Watkins and Pascal will be counted on more.

Time for the Cards D to step up again.

I would be more worried about the Cards offense stepping up after mustering 3 points against the Seahawks.

Which would you rather watch: a Thursday night football game between 2 awful teams, or an undeserving 7th round playoff wildcard team get stomped?

Game is getting watered down.

Wildcard team getting stomped. At least one team will be fun to watch. The Thursday night borefests have been just two bad teams outbadding each other.

Got a nice rooting interest this ThNF…

The one issue the offense has been having has been the lack of explosive plays and Hurts' diminishing YPA the past three weeks. They're still capable of maintaining drives, but they have to remain on schedule with no negative plays and no penalties. Any loss of yardage or penalties that puts them in a 2nd and 15 or 2nd and 20 is basically a drive ender for them. Part of me wants to see how this team plays from behind in the second half. It's guaranteed to happen eventually, so I'd be curious to see the playcalling if they have to come back from being 10 down or more in the second half. I think Steichen/Siri are content parking the bus in the second half with the non-existent third quarters they've had and the 10 minute average time of possession they've maintained in the 4th quarter. But that won't be the case for all season long.

I hope the Saints lose for sure, but objectively it's not a game that I'm excited to watch from a purely football POV. Like pretty much every other Thursday game so far.

Yup, I think he's a legit deep threat no reason to not take a couple shots a game or even give him a couple quick screens and let him do his thing.

Maybe save it for the 3rd qtr when the eagles have done nothing so far...

Yup I get that and again I think they can still find a way to get Watkins a couple shots a game.

He's a legit deep threat why not design a couple plays a game to get him the ball and see what happens?

Deandre Hopkins is about to remind people

It seems to me Hurts is so averse to turnovers that he won’t make risky throws. Considering his arm, throwing deep to Quez is risky, unless Quez is wide open.

If anybody reviews the All 22, is Quez running many 9 routes? If so, is he relatively open?

what do you mean by considering his arm?

Keep OBJ away from the NFC.

It also sounded like Gannon is ok letting up long drives as long as we're up multiple scores and the clock is moving, why not, the other team is ending the game for you

I like watching football, TNF and Blow out playoff games are still better then 95% of college and 99% of whats on tV

Yep. If it's an NFL game, it's the only thing I'm gonna watch.
