OBJ was very good last season. Is he still good is a ???, but I'd rather not find out on a NFC contender.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

I hope the Eagles have a succession plan for Merrill and Mike.  I haven't listened to an Eagles broadcast yet this year but it's been clear that Merrill is slipping.  Does Kelce need to be on camera or would he be a good radio guy?

I think he'd be far better as a studio analyst than a game analyst.  But, I wouldn't be against him moving in to the color analyst role for a game.

Not strong, probably about average. But arm strength isn’t the biggest factor in hitting WRs downfield in stride. That’s a very common misconception. Most of the best deep ball throwers of the last decade were not big arm guys

Ya true I was just wondering I really don’t have an opinion either way

His arm is average at best

What team realistically isn’t on the eagles level but suddenly is with OBJ? Nobody here is 1 piece away

None of that is accurate

Yes it is. Ironically, the guys who have the bigger arms are the guys who are more prone to turnovers and wild throws, guys who overly rely on their arm strength. Favre, Stafford, Flacco.

Matt Ryan has had one of the weakest arms of any longterm franchise QB over the last 20 years; no one questioned whether he could throw deep as well as Flacco. Drew Brees did not have a strong arm. Peyton Manning post-surgery had a noodle, and actually played better in Denver because he was forced to be more diligent with his downfield decisions.

There is a velocity test at the combine to determine arm torque and power. Jalen Hurts threw 54 mph. Justin Herbert threw 55 mph. What does this tell us about each’s ability to hit WRs downfield? Absolutely nothing.

Almost any NFLS QB can throw a ball semi-accurately 40 yards downfield. Tremendous amounts of practice and timing determines whether or not you can do it in stride with the WR, not whether or not your can also throw it 70 yards or only 63.

Maybe green bay?

I thought about them, but they got absolutely pummeled by The Jets, and I don’t know if he changes much in that game against Minnesota. Maybe they become better overall, but he won’t help them against Slay

I mean his arm strength combined with his inability to lead guys on deep throws…when’s the last time he made a deep throw that Quez or any WR actually had to run up to to catch? Most, if not all are underthrown, causing the Wr to slow down or stop. So for Hurts, any deep throws are even more risky because he lacks the anticipation and zip to get it there quickly.

Board needs a block feature. Ignore doesn't prevent you from seeing quoted posts. That would probably help a bunch of you

The one issue the offense has been having has been the lack of explosive plays and Hurts' diminishing YPA the past three weeks. They're still capable of maintaining drives, but they have to remain on schedule with no negative plays and no penalties. Any loss of yardage or penalties that puts them in a 2nd and 15 or 2nd and 20 is basically a drive ender for them. Part of me wants to see how this team plays from behind in the second half. It's guaranteed to happen eventually, so I'd be curious to see the playcalling if they have to come back from being 10 down or more in the second half. I think Steichen/Siri are content parking the bus in the second half with the non-existent third quarters they've had and the 10 minute average time of possession they've maintained in the 4th quarter. But that won't be the case for all season long.

I have no idea why we aren't throwing more bombs besides maybe the defenses have prevented it. We have the weapons finally to do anything we want

Hasn't he been injured a bunch over the years?

Rodgers needs someone to replace Adams but they also have plenty of other problems. I think the HC isn't that good

Doesn’t mean you can’t hit a go route it means your release is sooner

LETS :phil:HUCKING GO!!!

I love afternoon NLCS games!

Did the Phillies forget Nola was on the mound today?  They usually don't score until the 7th or 8th inning when he pitches.

Casually delete nola meme cause apparently this isn’t going to be his best

OK Nola...what the hell was that.

Bell has seen him a bunch with the nationals.

Nola should nail this guy to set the tone

I know. That's why I agreed with him. I’d hit my brother, too. 😂
