Several pages arguing about our backup tight ends.

I guess we're really undefeated.

I'm looking at this from a different perspective.  Does getting Burns for the marginal improvement for an already top-5 defense offset what his contract would prevent you from being able to do down the road.

I would argue that our defense works well because of Slay AND Bradberry.  So, in my mind, keeping Bradberry long-term (and avoiding the alternative) is more important than adding another DE to an already effective, albeit not consistently dominant, group.

Here’s the thing though. I don’t really think our DE group is *that effective* as it stands at the moment. (The Washington game was an anomaly due to their inept offensive line. The pass rush has been underwhelming otherwise.) We are already down one guy in Barnett. Jackson apparently can’t play. Graham is pretty damn old and could easily fade down the stretch this season. Sweat will always have concerns about his knee. And the versatility that Milton Williams teased us with last year seems to have vanished like a fart in the wind so who the hell knows what he is going to be? The 2024 Eagles DESPERATELY need defensive end help. Burns would cost a lot, but he’s already proven to be a good player and he’s still as I understand it under the age of twenty-five. That’s precisely the profile that Howie looks for when targeting trades.

Our pass-rush has been disappointing, given how many leads we've had. Teams have to throw and we've been ok. Graham's decline hasn't helped. I could see us taking a shot at Jerry Hughes, who can still be a good player on a limited snap basis.

In a perfect world we would get BOTH more years of Bradberry AND a better pass rush.  They are synergistic.  Better coverage by the DBs yields more opportunity for the pass rush and better pass rush produces more interception and PBU opportunities for the DBs.

The challenge I think we face at those two key components is not this year/season, but next season and beyond. The problem I have with Burns is that he is scheduled to get $16 million next year AND he becomes a free agent at the end of the 2023 season as well, so that $16 million number is going to go up.   Coupled with the $16 million bump Reddick will get in 2024 and the $17 million bump Slay will get that same year, there simply isn't enough money to go around unless Lurie figures out how to play the Kraft game with earnings.  I believe that means we need some Chris Longs on the D-Line.

F Face isn’t the "F” word I was talking about and that’s not the word Bacarty used.  He used the F word that is derogatory towards a certain lifestyle.  I wouldn’t use that word in here.  I have someone very close to me who lives that kind of lifestyle and I’m respectful of that person.

Nice try though.  You can go back to sleep now.

Yeah the F F word, I use it every 2 mins.  Who gives a F?  I’m surprised you had to go back to September to find an example.  I’m glad I have you so bent that you were so excited to try and get one over on me and you were wrong….again.

Priceless.

+12 turnovers.

4th in yards allowed.

6th in points allowed, and that’s after giving up 35 in the opener. Since then it’s 14 ppg.

And we’re getting better.

I’ll take it happily.

PFF....so take that for what's worth.

The guys you expect to be at the top of the list are there.

So when they use the exact same methodology to evaluate Graham, it's all of sudden not believable?

Why do I persist in wrestling matches with a pig?

They listed them in the wrong order.

Should be NFL, MLB, NBA, MLS postseason and NHL.

I think it is just this. People with sad little lives who think others in spaces like this are here for their entertainment and gratification. Very easy to get drawn into their self-serving nonsense. I went with the trolls after "gaslighting pig" didn't yield any images 😉

I wouldn't be surprised if Howie is following this situation

I would be. He was a very high second round pick a year ago and has shown he can play. Jets, if they decide to move on, are going to want a lot. And just for hypothetical purposes, even if Howie does pull it off, he's leaving a team he's unhappy with because of his role in the offense to just come here and be 4th banana and be unhappy with the team because of his role in the offense.

PFF in general isn’t believable.  Nothing to get punchy about.  I like BG and I’m shocked he’s playing as well as he is.

With all the 'F's in PFF, I wasn't sure how controversial it would get.

Jets are content with making Denzel Mims be a healthy scratch every week rather than trading him for cheap. There's no way in hell they are going to just give away Elijah Moore.

Yeah, he’s really good. He’s not being used in a run-first offense with limited pass attempts because the QB is bad. This could get ugly.

That said, the Chiefs should be offering a 1 for him right now.

For once, we are good at receiver. Pascal and Watkins are fine as the 3 & 4.

Is Gregatron still on the roster?

I did indeed and I apologize to almost everyone for my unseemly behavior.

As a Breece Hall owner in multiple fantasy leagues ( 5 I believe ), Moore and everyone else can F right off complaining about there usage.

Breece needs more touches.

Technically yes, but he was placed on IR before cuts so he can't return.

Is he talking to Hurts when he's screaming "Go"? Just noticed it's on some run plays

He's telling the G to release when there's a double team.  Probably covered on here from others by now.
