Martinez is a good relief pitcher for the padres. They likely wanted to use him 5-6 innings not this early. 

Don't think I've ever watched a baseball game where neither starter gets out of the 1st. SD kid didn't even record an out.

The no travel day is gonna wind up killing both of these teams if wheeler, darvish, nola and snell don’t step up the next two games.

Feels like a big inning for the Phillies pitching. If they can get another 0 this inning, the padres  make a move to the BP or martinez goes back out there. Martinez when he was a starter early in the season began to struggle deeper into games. Martinez hasn’t thrown over 40 pitches since July 8th. He hasn’t thrown more than 32 since august 8th.

Didnt this guy just pitch a bunch of innings yesterday? I thought he wasnt gonna be this good tonight.

I’m guessing padres go manae next inning (although Martinez doesn’t look phased or gassed yet so could continue as well as he’s likely not pitching again until game 6 at this point). The 4th, 5th and 6th the bats have to come alive otherwise you looking down the barrel at trying to score on Suarez and Hader in the 7th-9th.

The Phillies bullpen is fantastic!!!!

Here’s the big chance for the Phillies. Manaea likely coming in. He hasn’t pitched since October 5th. He’s been hittable this year. Need to do it these next 3 innings.

I’m guessing stott thought he was gonna try to throw out castellanos at the plate but castellanos got a great jump. Stott has to look to see that castellanos is easily gonna score so there was likely no attempt to throw him out at home.
