  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

I know the feeling. But they are 4-1. And the cheapest ticket in town right now lol. Hockey is so much better in person.

Yea, still love the sport and seeing games in person. Hell, I saw my local team win the ECHL cup a few months ago in person and it was awesome.

I listened to the game on ESPN Radio but, as fate would have it, I missed the 8th inning.  What on earth was the excuse for Hader not pitching to Harper?  That’s an all-time gaffe from Black.

Couldn’t change pitcher middle of the inning cause Suarez hadn’t faced 3 batters yet. I’m guessing they wanted to use hader in the 9th but also realmuto started the inning and after harper it was castellanos and bohm so 3 righties. I’d frankly used hader with harper coming up and being the most dangerous batter in the lineup and it’s a lefty lefty matchup. They were basically forced to pitch to harper in the situation cause if you walk him tying run is at second and castellanos and bohm coming up

The Padres also hadn’t used hader since game 1. They never used him the next 4 games which is ridiculous and overthinking it.

Jax moved up and down the field on them all day for about 440 yards. They killed themselves fumbling the ball into the end zone.

Daniel Jones had a really good run pass combo game too. He's dangerous on those boots.

That Giants team is scrappy.

You missed one but yes, the other 29 are way below.

Not the eagles, best team in the nfc, but not in the same class as bills and chiefs

How is everyone feeling about the layoff til the World Series? Think it'll affect the bats and rhythm? Or a blessing for an overworked pitching staff?

I talked about this on the Phillies thread. It’s going to help the pitching staff because now you can set up your rotation.  helps the bullpen particularly Domínguez and Alvarado. The thing that sucks about it is you have to wait until Friday and hoskins is in a zone right now that you don’t want him to get out of and four days off you don’t know if he is still gonna be that hot. Hitters you want to keep playing when you’re in that zone.

They've found a way to this point, just gotta hope it continues. The Astros are really good, will be their toughest challenge by far. They're loaded.

In other news, it appears Breece Hall tore his ACL. Damn, that's rough.

Yeah the Astros are really good. They aren’t as good of a hitting team as a couple years ago but their pitcher is far and away better than it was. The bullpen has studs. They are super deep in their rotation. Javier could be no. 2 starters on other teams. Garcia can be a 3 on a lot of teams. And they have verlander, McCullers and Valdez as their game 1-3 starters who are all really good. Valdez isn’t talked about enough but i think he has the nastiest stuff out of all of them. That includes verlander who’s still nasty after TJ surgery.

before the postseason started, I thought they were the best team in the entire field. I didn’t see anybody in the American league that could come close to beating them. In the National League before the postseason started, I thought the Dodgers maybe could take them to a six game. The Braves and they got strider back and he was pitching well wede probably the team that matched up the best with them because the Braves can go three starters deep against their top three. but the Phillies if they stay hot hitting the ball is likely the most dangerous lineup they’ve faced.

He wore an Iverson jersey yesterday

Blessing. Wheeler in Game 1 on 5 days rest.  Nola's long layoff shouldn't be a problem for him.  Ranger has all his experience as a relief pitcher prior to this year, so he should be good, as should Syndergaard.  The hitters are gonna hit regardless.

I wish i could’ve been there so bad. It must have just been absolutely bonkers in there at that time. Like i would’ve have been in utter shock.

We are with them.

The '72 Dolphins have to be the least humble team of all-time 🤣

This is the first time I won't be celebrating at one of the big spots in Philly. A little under the weather, don't feel live driving. Hopefully the Phils bring it home, because I'm definitely not missing it if we win the WS

Steelers will blitz the crap out of us next week.

Philly and Miami are running two of the most QB friendly offenses in the NFL right now.

I liked him coming out.  He’s only a few games into his career.   Long way to go before writing him off, imo.

Where’s hpenis? You have him tied up?

He was the first love from that draft class for many here heading into the offseason.
