Pickett bailed on his Bowl game and at that time that created discussion about Picket with a number of users liking the idea of the Eagles drafting him.

This is only a few starts into his first rookie year.

Just need the Sixers to wake the F up.

I get your point. But I don’t have any children so I can’t really relate to that.

It's a different kind of joy.   Having a child creates joy throughout your  life afterwards.  Winning the super bowl the joy is brief.

This is nuts. I’m the Phillies thread all season it’s been up and down and frustration with this team especially early and then September we were just hoping they’d get in the playoffs anyway we could. I can’t believe it. I can’t believe harper crushed that ball. I can’t believe they pitched to him.

Hopefully you and your family are doing well.

One day at a time.  Each day is about helping my sister get through it.  Work is on the back burner.  Viewing and funeral are coming up, Tuesday night and Wednesday.

I finally got a good night's sleep with some help from Zzzquil.  Hopefully she did too.

Wow.  Just checked the standings to get caught up on yesterday's action.   The NFC South sucks.

Interesting scenario, the Eagles play in Houston next Thursday night.

If there is a WS game six, it would be Friday night in Houston.

Would the FO let players stay behind (e.g. Kelce) to go to game six?

The Phillies just have an energy about them don't they?  Having a quiet work day today as it's Diwali in India and no one is working (and didn't for most of last week), so just spent some time on Twitter looking at videos etc.  There is a swagger about them.

Was just thinking about the Giants start.  If they keep it up, they kind of left with a decision to franchise Jones or trade a lot of picks for a QB as there are a lot of bad teams out there in need of a QB

If the Phillies are up 3-2….yeah I think they’d allow it

Phillies in 5 or less!

If I recall correctly the Astros park should benefit Phillies’ bats

The Giants are just having one of those years like the Cowboys had last year where everything magically falls into place.

They were pretty much outplayed but the Jags couldnt get out of their own way.  The Etienne fumble as hes running towards the end zone was huge.  The game was over if the Jags scored there.

Edit: now that I think about it, the Lions fumbled at the goal line too, about to go ahead if they score and the game would have been totally different.

Its incredible how many teams are falling apart (Bucs, Pack, the entire NFCS, Rams, etc.) and here is the NFCE left standing.

Maybe the NFCE has fallen apart so much we just know how to handle it.  Like that "first time?" meme.

SD reporter signs out

At least it's not a thumbs up!

The Bucs fall was inevitable the moment that Arians kept the band together; they needed to move on from some players and are paying for it - like the Birds did.  The Pack ignoring WR for years caught up with them; a hall of famer can't polish up 2 rookie WRs, esp when he's off having adventures in South America in the off-season.  Still a long way to go, but there is no OMG powerhouse team in the NFC at the moment.

Tua lowering his head into oncoming defenders on several occasions now.  Seems like a questionable choice.

I think what it shows is that the NFL rules are more to protect the shield than they are to protect the players.  They've created all of these rules that make it impossible to play defense without second guessing how you're approaching a ball carrier but any ball carrier can and does use their head as an object to their advantage.  Once a player is on the field, it's a do anything they can to get an extra yard mindset (except DeMarco Murray).  How many QB sneaks have the Eagles run since the Tua injury?  Close to 10?  If they truly were worried about head injuries you would think the QB sneak would be a play they are concerned about.

Burrow had the best take on it all. They all know the risks, they know the short and long term risks. They are paid very well to take those risks, and they do so knowingly. It’s the nature of the beast

What's the absolute highest you'd draft an RB?  I'm talking a high end RB prospect ala Saquan Barkley or Ezekiel Elliott when they came out.

I miss having a stud RB. I know it's not happening/worth it but man would it be nice to have a Barkley-type on this team.

IMO the QB sneak isn't as eggregious as lowering your head with an incoming defender coming to make the tackle full speed, but Hurts had done that plenty too.

So the Saints have the fourth worst record in the league and are a game out of first place in their division.

It definitely isn't and in a sense the QB has a bit of breathing room as he navigates behind the center, however all it takes is LVE to land the dive he attempted last week to start a whole new discussion about the play.  Open field is always going to be faster and more dangerous when it comes to lowering your head.

The one we have is pretty studly. Its a shame so many people have been deluded by the media to not appreciate him.

But Id take those Barkley, Zeke, Jonathan Taylor types in round 1.

Also depends on the draft class. This year Im not in favor of any in round one even though Bijan is so hyped up. The high end talent at RB is too deep in this draft to justify it.

Common sense is a wonderful thing.

This.  He’s pacing 1360 yards rushing and 13-14 TD this season.

And I would like to see him more involved in the passing game as well; RB screens, etc.

If it’s a stud and he’s head and shoulders the BPA, I’d say around pick 15.
