I would rather they add someone else at safety.

Jonathan Abram might be on the block. Haven't checked how he's played this season, but his base salary is only $2 million this season.

Burrow had the best take on it all. They all know the risks, they know the short and long term risks. They are paid very well to take those risks, and they do so knowingly. It’s the nature of the beast

Most of us do things when we are young that we wouldn’t do later in life and the costs are more apparent.  Burrow may be well paid to cope with the results later in life, but most NFL players are not.

Did they anger the football gods by tanking for Luck?

Lol at Irsay

How is that "stability at QB” going, Jim?

What was the point of signing Nick Foles then?

Eagles have a LT dealing with a shoulder injury and a RT with a chronic ankle injury. Keeping Dillard is crucial.

I suspect Dillard is available for the right price but it is probably a first. I don’t see an Ertz like deal in the making.

The CMAC trade pretty much ruined any chance the Eagles go after a top tier RB. After seeing what Panthers got for CMAC theres no way they dont take something less than that for Chubb. It probably raised the cost to get players like Hunt/Jacobs too

New Orleans is keeping Howard in game shape for the Eagles.

Risking it all for a Mike Evans signed index card. Brilliant.

They got their sports mixed up and were trying to get him to sign his golf score card.

A name to remember is Brett Toth.  I haven't heard any updates on Toth or Tyree Jackson but the team was high on both last year.  Toth has the athletic ability to be a swing tackle.  I think he needs some extra weight but if Dillard can bring back a decent player I would keep my eye on Toth taking over his role.

Toth is on PUP.

I know, it's why I mentioned both he and Jackson.  We haven't heard any updates on either of them.  Just saying they still have him and seemed to be high on him last year.  Recall him getting some snaps across the line.

Trying to read some test results online for a blood test. I got a number that says <25. That means less than 25, right?

The Colts should trade for Tannehill this off-season. That'll totally fix things.

Yup. Probably means 25 is the lower limit of what the test can detect and your level of whatever was below that.

But it feels like one game it's 75% the next game 25%

We didnt even come close to Cooper Rush until we started blitzing and he got rattled

There have been a couple games where it left a lot to be desired.  If we're serious about making a SB push--which I understand probably wasnt a legitimate goal of the FO to start the year--I think we'll need more than Reddick, Graham, and Sweat.

Our DL feels thinner than it has in years.

That’s because they are playing a lot of three DL plus Reddick with a little Patrick Johnson thrown in. More like Patterson’s 3/5 and 4/2 than like the traditional 4/3 or 3/4.  The DL is sealing the edge and collapsing the pocket.  Add in some timely blitzes.  Once the Eagles have a decent lead, Gannon falters but even then his defense aims to have everything in front of it which makes preventing time for deep throws is key.

Scouring the trade deadline articles online, an interesting name that came up is Matt Ioannidis. If Carolina is willing to part ways for a late draft pick, his base salary is only $1 million this year. Would be a nice depth add at DE/DT without breaking the cap bank or draft pick arsenal.

No thanks.  My suspicion is Marvin Wilson offers that.  Just maturing him on the PS.

I don't want to alarm you, but most people are long dead before a <25 is registered

Maybe they should look into fixing their Oline lol

That would require less money to be spent on Isray's recreational habits...

Man I was just going through the Chiefs/49ers box score. Remember when the Chiefs drafted CEH over D"Andre Swift and Jonathan Taylor?

There's whiffing in the first round, and then there's whiffing on a RB in the first round.  Yikes.

It seems a little early in the season to do a QB audition but I guess Irsay doesn't think so.

He was compared to Westbrook… ridiculous

So Colts traded a 1st plus for Wentz, then traded for Ryan, then gave him $25M guaranteed this year and $12M guaranteed next year, just to make Sam Ehlinger the starter Week 8. This has to be Irsay meddling because I can't imagine Ballard is that bad of a GM.

I don’t think many said he’d be as good as westbrook. They said the chiefs should use him like westbrook cause he was a really good pass catcher out of LSU and Andy had a bunch of success with westbrook who was a great receiving back. Frankly Andy continues to not use him in that way more often when that imo is his best attribute is a pass catching back. I’d argue Pacheco is a better in between the tackles runner.

Compare that to the following that has happened for the Eagles:

Hired Nick Sirianni,

Got a 1st-round pick and a 3 for Carson Wentz,

Acquired an extra 1st-round pick from the Dolphins,

Drafted DeVonta Smith, Landon Dickerson, Milton Williams, Zech McPhearson and Kenny Gainwell,

Extended Jordan Mailata, Avonte Maddox, Dallas Goedert and Josh Sweat,

Traded Zach Ertz,

Acquired a potential top-5 pick from the Saints,

Signed Haason Reddick, James Bradberry and Kyzir White,

Drafted Jordan Davis and Cam Jurgens,

Traded for A.J. Brown,

Actually got picks for Jalen Reagor and (indirectly) J.J. Arcega-Whiteside,

Acquired Chauncey Gardner-Johnson and

Signed a freaking 22-year-old kicker who makes a game winner in his first NFL game.
