I don’t see Howie trading away more than a 3rd for a player at the deadline. There are a lot of free agents to be that we can’t all re-sign. Eagles need to build their defensive talent with cheap rookie deals.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

We can trade any draft picks for players on rookie contracts (players take in the 2020 to 2022 NFL draft). They would help for this playoff run + future years.

Think Ronald Darby trade.

I'm with you that I'd like to avoid a Golden Tate trade.

I'd be fine with that. Meant more so they aren't going to trade a boat load of picks for a Bradley Chubb or Brian Burns just to have to hand them a monster deal a few months later.

We don't need more OLBs in 3-4 looks.

We need more big-bodied guys who can play in 3-4 Looks or play as the big END in 4-3 looks. Our DTs can't stop the run outside of Davis.

I think one GIGANTIC missed opportunity for Howie this offseason was not signing Hicks who was on the free agent market forrrever. Would have been very cheap. And massive upgrade in the run game over Tuipopolopopopo

Akiem Hicks has a 7M cap hit. He's played I think 2-3 games this year too.

It's been a bad signing for the Bucs.

Chubb still has 2 more years on his deal. Very affordable years.

JRob was a missed opportunity if he comes at the 5/6 cost, which is I think what I saw. But we should not be buying expensive toys right now. I’m very confident in the strength of this locker room but no need to disrupt it either.

7M?

He was such a late signing I figured he would be even cheaper than that.

Nick Chubb has 2 more years on his deal.

Bradley Chubb is a FA in 2023.

So what youre saying is....they're the same person.

Basically the same person.

Has a 2.3M cap hit this year, with 4.9M dead money hit next year. It's 7M spread out over 2 years.

I looked up Bradley

I must have been looking at the red line thinking that was the current year.

Ive already said I dont care much for Burns of Chubb anyway. Maybe if they could get it done for 1 1st.

But dont want to give up more than that and take away from our ability to add another young DT, and CB with the other high picks.

I want experienced (older) vets with winning pedigree, who are still pretty effective, and relatively cheap along the lines of the Long, and Bennett signings.

Quinn and Hughes, maybe Ioannidis are the type of guys to be focused on.

What the F are the Colts doing?  Somehow they’re magically 3-3-1 even though they should be 1-6 …. and they’ve decided to punt on their season as though they’re 1-6

Who names a 6th round QB their starter for the rest of the season?  "He’s ready”.  What the hell does that mean?

I can’t help but think Ehlinger just got the Colts starting QB job exactly the way Homer Simpson was chosen to be the Monorail conductor.

In 2001 ... New England.

He’s on his 5th year option so a FA to be. Kinda hard seeing the Eagles trade quality picks plus giving out another huge contract at the position.

Spotrac and OverTheCap both think he is in year 2 not year 5

I'm talking about Bradley

Its better we dont get either Chubb on this team.

2 guys in the league with the same last name should be illegal! Thats too much for philly fans to keep straight.

The next two games will come only 4 days apart.  Both games the teams have long losing streaks against the Eagles.  So the Steelers haven't won in Philadelphia since 1965 and both the Houston Oilers and Texans are 0-11 combined losses against the Eagles.   Nobody said it would be easy but I think they are on a Historic Path if they come out of this 8-0.

Screw it, get both and then trade for Chuba Hubbard while were at it.

Next thing you know we will Bradley Chubbas, Nick Chubbas and Chub Hubbards on the team.

Hughes and Quinn would be my top DE targets.

At RB, I just wanna see more of Trey Sermon. He looked good I thought on his two touches. Let’s see what the kid can do

I realize that now.  The post you responded to said "the Browns" so I went for the Nick info.  Since I have Utebird on Ignore, I didn't see the original reference to Bradley.

My bad.  Will you ever forgive me?

Note to 4for4 the above comment was humor.

Looks like Daron Payne might get traded before he hits FA

I'll have to think about it.
