Denver must think it can turn its season-around with a win...

Kind of a hard to sell to go all out for Wilson just to quit the season by Week 8

I watched Ehlinger on Texas, very good athlete, good size, good arm, but in 4 years of starting, didn't progress that much, which makes me question his QB IQ, especially with the top skill people they had (though a shaky OL).

Bradley Chubb is my ultimate deadline acquisition. Had him circled as a free agent they could pursue. Young enough he can be part of your long-term core and won't cost as much as Burns.

Chubb could be Graham's replacement going forward as your book end. And then they could potentially say pivot away from Will Anderson if they aren't in his range in the draft if the Saints win a few more games, and let Cox go next year and re-invest in DT again like Jalen Carter. And have Davis and Carter in the middle of your DL for the next 5-10 years with Reddick and Chubb on the outside with Sweat.

We've had Peters, Cox, RedDick, a few Johnson's minds well get a Chubb

The Packers OL sucks and they have zero weapons. I honestly never thought their roster was all that impressive. Especially offensively. It was Rodgers and Adams for years now, but against good defenses in the playoffs their offense slowed. Lose Adams and it's goodnight. And without an exceptional schemer like an Andy Reid, they don't have the coaching to make chicken soup out of chicken crap. They need a WR at the deadline in the worst way, and that may be enough because they really have no TE either to speak of.

HC and GM should be on the hotseat

GM definitely. Not sure LaFleur should. He’s been fine as a head coach when he’s had adequate wide receivers. A lot of this stems from the Green Bay front office making poor decisions, along with the pissing match with Aaron Rodgers and then allowing Davante Adams to leave. And after all that watching them play week to week seeing the wide receivers are clearly not good enough and really doing nothing about it.

@olsilverhair has sex with all of them.

GB have invested poorly in their roster; too many iffy defensive picks and an over reliance on Rodgers, Jones and Adams to win games.  Sammy Watkins is about as unreliable and injury prone as you can get.

Is BChubb worth the Eagles 2023 1st RD pick and a hefty pay raise next year?

If Howie can do it and still re-sign Bradberry, Epps, and White, I'm all for it.

With the Kelce and Cox poison pill contracts, the cap needs some consideration for the next year or two. More dead money coming

IMO, nope.  Sign CGJ, Bradberry, Epps, and White. Build the lines from the draft. Go get Hughes or some other affordable DE as a 1 year addition.

Kempski suggested trading for Rodney McLeod. In a vacuum, if you consider literally nothing at all, it's not bad. But that would be such a terrible process/waste of resources.

Depends for what. A 7th? Fine.

You are thinking about the 2024 draft.

Tennessee → Philadelphia (PD). Tennessee traded a sixth-round selection to Philadelphia in exchange for defensive back Ugo Amadi and a seventh-round selection.

Thanks. I’ll have to correct that in my records.

He’d be better than Wallace. For a 7th, hell yes.

Most of their mental errors are coming from their WRs. And Allen Lazard just got hurt in that game so it’s going to be even less experienced players getting reps. I said this at the start of the season the packers went 2020 eagles WR route making their roster and they are seeing the repercussions of it. Cobb is an aging vet who can’t stay healthy= alshon. Sammy Watkins is an aging vet who can’t stay healthy= desean. Lazard= Greg ward (Lazard is better but one reliable WR who had some experience). Watson = reagor. Doubs = Watkins/Hightower.

The other issue affecting them is because their wide receivers can’t get separation and play consistently or run good routes teams are able to gear up to stop the run unlike in years past. It’s why Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon haven’t run as well this year outside of the first two games this year. Jones has rushed for under 3.0 yards per carry in 3 of the last 5 games. Aj dillion is averaging 3.9 yards per carry and 3 of the last 6 games he’s been 3.8 or under. I don’t care how good rodgers is, having bad WRs in todays nfl you are going to have struggles.

On one of their last drives of the game when they should have been pushing the ball downfield, Rodgers clear as day was yelling "WHAT ARE WE DOING" to the sidelines after he attempted what seemed like a 5 yard middle of the field pass.  Now, he's a veteran QB and should be able to change the play to what he wants but it's clear that Rodgers isn't happy with what he has to throw to and what plays are being called.

Why would they trade for him?  Epps and CGJ are hardly an issue IMO.  Bringing back McLeod makes no sense.

Because as we saw Monday when CGJ went out with injury that it instantly becomes a massive hole that offenses will target to expose if either Epps or CGJ go down for a prolonged period of time or the season and Wallace has to step in.  McLeod would provide some important depth there.  He isn't on a huge deal and I doubt he would cost a lot.  I don't hate the idea.

OK, that helps.  I was thinking differently.  I would still rather see them give Blankenship a shot.

Has this been shared yet?  Well done

They need a third S who can rotate in or play if needed. McLeod would be a perfect fit for that, but it’s just a bad process to give Al Harris the same contract you could have just given McLeod in the first place.
