  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

I'm betting he's ok and it's because of what happened with Tua

Yeah, go ask a division rival to give up one of their best position players for less than a first round pick.

It's Washington.. Who knows what they will do next.  Payne and Davis for years to come would be awesomesauce though

I would take a 3rd for Dillard without hesitation.

It would need to be a conditional 3rd to interest me, especially if the team is a contender for the post season.  Late 3rd isn't enough.  Late 2nd is.

Yeah that's not good at all that we are a week and a half later and he's still having issues with it.  Lane retirement watch will be back in full effect after the season.

I'd very much doubt that

In the offseason the Bills vs Packers game looked really good. Now it looks like a slaughter lol

I love Green Bay's pain but yeah, that went from five star viewing to potential beat down.

He hasn't had a concussion in a while. I don't see why this one would end up being so bad. He wasn't on the ground for awhile. Hell a lot of people didn't even realize he wasn't playing

Since it is a slow day, here's a QB profile of one of the current college crop of QBs.  Thoughts?

Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Athletic quarterback who is a threat to leave the pocket and gain positive yardage at any time. Possesses very good vision balance, elusiveness and deceptive speed and power as a runner.
  • Gets the ball out quickly, making ·splitsecond decisions. Good short to intermediate level accuracy, demonstrating the ball placement to allow receivers to run after the catch.
  • Must be accounted for when used in the read-option game.
  • Good (not elite) arm strength and can easily make all the NFL throws with effortless deep passes.
  • Plays with a confident demeanor and has the athleticism to move out of the pocket and create plays out of structure.
  • From a physical standpoint, a prototypical modern quarterback.
  • 6'2" -- 210 lbs -- 4.48 40 yard time

See Carson Wentz after Clowney hit.

Concussions are different for everyone, and just because there are no immediate harsh symptoms doesn't mean it's not serious. I just hope the NFL is actually listening to the doctors and not social media backlash from Tua's debacle.

Bills and Chiefs are 1-2 in yards and points offensively.

Bills are 1st in yards and points allowed defensively.

They are the #1 team in the NFL, and on a tier by themselves.

Josh Allen is the best QB in the NFL, and I would take Diggs and Davis over AJ and Smitty.

I’d still go Mahomes as best QB. Been doing it longer. But, Allen is playing as well as anyone.

Sounds like Hurts.

I think everyone realized he wasn't playing because instantly the Cowboys were getting pressure on his side. The impact of Lane being out was instant.

He could have had an undiagnosed concussion(s) prior to this one and it's not like it is his first one.

I'm not sure how that hit is comparable to this one. The Wentz hit was dirty and even looked bad. He had the impact of Clowney plus his head hitting the ground

It's a concussion. It's not like an ACL or some other muscle pull.

It doesn't matter if he's had one before or not or when the last one was. Who knows how many just went undocumented?

You don't have to be on the ground for awhile to have a bad concussion. (see Wentz in the playoffs).

If people didn't realize he wasn't playing, they weren't paying attention. Not sure what that even has to do with a concussion.

My point is you cannot compare concussions. I used Wentz as an example of him getting up and walking off.

I disagreed and you went off on it

I wasn't comparing concussions. You're the one that brought up Wentz

What's there to even disagree with? He's in the protocol for over a week because he has a documented concussion and symptoms. Not some conspiracy theory about Tua.

I hardly "went off". I'm telling you how concussions work. There isn't some standard or set of rules when it comes to a concussion.

True. Lane either has a serious concussion or he's a victim of the "new and improved" concussion protocol. He's still in concussion protocol for one of those two reasons (maybe both?).

I think the point is that the NFL is going to treat anything above the neck different after the Tua situation.  I'm sure every team is going to take extra precaution with even the smallest of head injuries....not that there is such a thing.  But gone are the days of playing through the cobwebs.

@LeanMeanGM

38-19 molly-whopping of the other PA team.

Smith Moss's one for a TD in (the dead center of) the end zone. I get credit even if it is a two handed catch.  And even if it is in the corner.  As long as it is Smith.  And in the end zone. And a catch. For a TD.
