All GM's F up. I for one am glad he quickly fixed those mistakes with Smith and Brown, and now both mistakes are gone with which we got somewhat decent returns on. Putting all the day 3 picks aside, we essentially trade JJAW, Reagor, and Ugo for CGJ.

Allen did do some returning at Oregon, but that was a long time ago. Maybe sophomore year? He's bigger than Covey, and obviously much faster.

Garcia was 36 years old that year. He then went to TB and made the pro bowl the next season.

They gave up 2 firsts, a 2nd, a 3rd and a 4th.. over 3 years (1st, 3rd, 4th in year 1... 1st in year 2, 2nd in year 3)

They got back a 3rd and a 1st.  (3rd in year 1, 1st in year 2)

 

The real value with Wentz was the 2017 season.  That was worth any price.

I guess I just have a much higher opinion of JJ.  Dude lit up the National Championship game like no one else (23 rec. 333 yards and 4 TDs)... until Smith did it the following year (19 rec. 345 yards and 6 TDs, in a game and a half, I think it was).

Yup,Guys that can do more than one thing at an adequate level have value as bottom of the roster guys 

Reno mahe made a pretty good career for udfa not being really great at any one thing but just good at enough at a lot of things to stick around for a few years.
