Eagles would be on the hook for his remaining base salary of 8,176,470, and has a cap hit of 12.9 million next year.

That leaves the Eagles with 1.9 million in 2022 cap room, and 3.7 million in 2023 cap room.

Believe the bears are paying majority of the salary.

Those cap hits were an impediment for me, they can't keep everyone otherwise with CGJ and others needing to be reupped too.

Yeah, I had not seen that until after I did all the math.

Now just re-sign Bradberry Hill somehow.

Howie, do magic.

I guess Tarron Jackson is getting cut?

Garafolo reports Bears eating most of the salary.

I wanted Quinn early on but he's not having a good year. Hopefully it's nothing to be concerned about because he's getting paid and will be here next year most likely. He's no spring chick

Could be in part he’s playing for a new coaching staff this year

Howie is clearly going all in, and there will be some weak spots on the roster if they decide to pay Hurts big $$.

And he's a 32 year old vet on a team going nowhere.

Not sure how much left he has in the tank.  He had a great year r last year but hasn't done anything this year.  But this seems like a smart move depending on what they have up.

downundermike is pissed right now!

Only remaining, possible trades

- RB who can pass protect
- #3 safety

You got this Howie.

I think, and hope, they’ll put off giving Hurts an extension for another year. He’s played really well but I don’t want to give him a mega contract just after 6 weeks of strong play.

He’s kind have been a streaky player most of his career

Quinn just had 18+ sacks last year. What a steal.

Howie with another great deal. I wanted him gone after 2020 but he's again proved to be one of the best in the league.

That is incredible.  While it was difficult to spot the exact moment that injury occurred, the entire right side of the OL transformed into doodoo the second he went out (and they showed him walking into the tunnel).  Was the dude hammered drunk?  If so, then I'll accept it.

He didn't seem so. He was moderately coherent, I thought.

Yeah. Him as a depth piece/part time contributor is great. I think he’ll have an impact.

No Khalil Mack on the Bears this year = all attention on Quinn. Hoping Haason, BG and Sweat let him get more one on one opportunities.

Very much doing this and reducing Graham's snaps by 5-10.

This eases my concerns. Still was highly interested in getting Chubb (the one from the Rocky mountains)
