He’s kind have been a streaky player most of his career

Very streaky, has 101 careers sacks going into this year.  In his 11 years, 6 of them he had single digit sacks, and 4 of 11 he had 5 or less sacks.  Definitely needs a productive pass rusher across from him to be effective.

Curious what the accompanying roster move will be. I suspect they'll find someone who is injured to put on IR.

Likewise there is that looming roster spot that will be needed to be cleared for Tyree Jackson.

And look what we have here the front office is focusing on edge rushers and rumored to be interested in a running back. I seem to remember the pillars and some other geniuses arguing that our defensive line is deep enough we didn’t need to add any edge rushers. They would say we wanted to focus on the second string TE and punt returner but we didn’t need d lineman or running backs. Shocker the pillars were wrong again. I wonder if Quinn will be part of a solid rotation in place of Tarron Jackson who has barely gotten on the field.?

Weren't you the guy screaming all offseason that the head coach, gm and qb all needed to go?

This is an all in move, you don't acquire 32 year old pass rushers as building blocks.

With all of the talk, the moves, and now this, if the Eagles do not win the Super Bowl, with a very weak NFC playoffs, this season is a failure.

No Khalil Mack on the Bears this year = all attention on Quinn. Hoping Haason, BG and Sweat let him get more one on one opportunities.

Kahlil Mack was there in 2020 and Quinn only got 2 sacks.

The trade is definitely worth it at the end of the day. Just feel like he's up and down.

Who else was advocating for a better backup TE other than me?  I thought I was on an island on that one.

What these pillars don't understand is a PR and TE2 are more important then DE

🤣

I would be happy if we extended CGJ now

Yea you got pretty crushed on that one.

A chance like this may not appear again for a while.  There will be a big roster churn at the end of the year; even a cap genius can't keep certain players any longer

It'll be interesting to see how they rotate Sweat, Reddick, Quinn, and Graham.

Yep, and then Hurts will be expected to do more with less, giving Howie an out to go get another QB and try and do it again.

I would probably too since our 3rd will be a late pick. I would love him for a 4th though. He had 18.5 sacks last season and his last year of his contract when he is 34 has a small dead cap.

Dude you called it.👍

Graham and Sweat on run downs.
Reddick and Quinn on 3rd downs.

They can be fresh all year, by rotating.

Now is the time to lock down CGJ. I'm sure we can figure out something with White later on

So what do we owe him salary wise?

They have put him into a no excuses environment.  But with the draft comp to do other things - esp if the Saints pick is a good one.

Not my fault everyone else on this board is wrong

But I also said EDGE was priority #1.  So not sure who 4for4 is referring to there.

Even a blind squirrel can find a nut.

Not huge on giving up a 4th, but thankfully Bears picking up a lot of the money.

Hey man, I gave you a sympathy "I guess they could upgrade TE2 but should be focused on S3" post.

It'll make the 5 man lines more interesting too. Hopefully we'll be able to mix it up a bit better so we're not as predictable.

I think if they don't make it to the SB then it's a failure. NFC is wide open but SB would be much more difficult
