  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

I’m not sure either. It was obvious that DE was the primary need. Hell, it was going into the draft, it was going into the season, and it sure as hell was after Barnett got injured. We’ve really been undermanned there. It’s the only position I would have given up an asset for. I would have preferred Burns, but the cost was too severe, so I can fully understand why they went this route.

Have we heard yet what year the fourth round pick will be? I’d prefer it to be 2024 than next year.

2023 4th

Feels like we are gonna try and play QUinn in limited spots, kind of like we did with Chris Long. BUt to me, a 4th is a high price for a guy who probably ends up with less than 5 sacks by end of year FOR US.

Given that we're a good team, I'm happy that the 4th is in 2023 rather than 2024.

Asking a guy to play 3 games in 10 days doesn’t seem ideal. Especially since he hasn’t had a bye week yet and won’t get one, at 32 years old.

Why, still have a lot of holes to fill next year.  Bunch of guys who are having a major impact on 1 year deals.

We can win the SB *this* year.

I don't see any mention of *this* year in the post I quoted.

Now that BG has a hamstring injury are we still complaining about a Pseudo 5th round pick being traded? Incredible how peeps react to trading a pick that would probably be a special teamer for years, for a 18.5 sack Pro-Bowler from last year. Howie is foreshadowing what he's doing with that Saints pick, as he will restock draft war chest with that pick. Gotta go for it THIS YEAR. Great deal! And the Bears pay most of the salary. Again. A no brainer!!

Damn that no bye week thing is rough. I hope Eagles let him sit this week so this could be his "bye week”

I hate him so much.

It's like he has done everything in his power to be less likeable this offseason and season.

I forget the rules but I’m pretty sure there’s something in place for a situation like this that doesn’t allow him to play so many games in such a short time period

He played on the 13th, 24th and maybe the 30th. That's 3 games in 18 days. Wouldn't play a ton of snaps anyway in 1st game.

That makes sense, and is fair. Considering we play Houston just a few days after the Steelers game, wouldn’t hurt to wait to play him until that Monday night game against Washington. He’s not exactly needed against those two opponents. Let him get his body right & adjusted to the team/scheme so he can be ready for the late season/post season when we will need his impact.

Sit him this week.  We should roll the Steelers without him.

Yeah I’d give him the week off. Get him ready for Thursday night.

He would be playing this Sunday for the Bears? I don't see it as an issue.

I’m referring to him playing Monday (24th) and then hypothetically this Sunday (30th) and then Thursday (3).

I don’t see why you don’t play Quinn. Let him play 6-8 snaps and get his feet wet.

This is an all in move, you don't acquire 32 year old pass rushers as building blocks.

With all of the talk, the moves, and now this, if the Eagles do not win the Super Bowl, with a very weak NFC playoffs, this season is a failure.

So you are basically saying that Howie did a really good job and that Hurts is a Super Bowl caliber QB?   On the record?

I am saying that Howie is going all in, thinking he has a Super Bowl team, regardless of my opinion, with the NFC being down, anything less would be a failure.

I do not think Hurts is ready to win a playoff shoot out, would love to be proven wrong.

Hopefully those 5 sacks come in the playoffs💪
