20 free agents...

Tbh some of the guys on that list we already knew were likely not coming back like Cox, dillard, opeta, minshew and imo seumalo. I am higher on seumalo than most but his durability concerns of the past couple years and age likely made him expendable. I also think sanders was unlikely back due to the position and wanting to pay him. It’s another reason i think the eagles would like to get a back in a trade with multiple years left on his deal. Also hargrave if they really wanted him back then i think he likely would’ve already been extended

The guys they need to figure out how to bring back are likely CGJ, bradberry, kelce, Graham/Quinn (i don’t see both back unless they both take team friendly deals) and white/edwards (one is going to be replaced with Dean next year).

Chiefs must have read RTK's post that we have a defense that can "handle" them

Eagles trading up to draft Smith definitely caused the Giants to panic and trade back then grab Toney

The Terminator at 10, nice.  I'm assuming that Anderson goes top-3, but a tradeback would be solid.  DE/DT/CB and RB would be a nice Day 1 & 2 haul.

Good trade for the Giants.

I feel like the chiefs gave up more than i thought it would’ve cost for a guy who the giants clearly didn’t want and couldn’t stay healthy his first two years. Then again i actually think in that chiefs offense with reid and mahomes that toney has a chance to really pop. Plus he has the rest of this bye week and next week to get incorporated. Frankly i think hardman and MVS are overrated and aren’t as talented as toney if toney stays healthy

On how to afford everybody and pay Swag... yeah, good luck.

If they extend Hurts, he would still have a $1.9 million cap hit in 2023. You don't have to worry about his cap hit until 2024.

Fwiw he actually means compensatory 3rd that they got for losing Poles, not conditional. That makes it a little better, but still think its an overpay for the player/person Toney is.

Again.  No to a RB that high.  Been saying it for over a decade.  Still believe it.

I like Gibbs (and the Kamara comp), but I rather have the 5th year option for a premium position - or - have another team trade-up for it (I'm OK with RBs in the 2nd, like 40+).

Eagles currently have 29 players under contract for 2024.

They currently have $ 232,996.305 in cap liabilities.

With the projected cap of 256-260 million, they have 27 million in cap space, and need 24 players.

No Eagle fan can criticize the Cowboys for getting dirtballs and then root for the Birds to get Kamara.  That’s hypocritical.   I’ll pass.

He also trashed Philly more than once. I would have a hard time rooting for a guy like that, all things considered.

Disagree. The chorus of "you can find RBs anywhere” grows louder every year. And yet there are fewer difference making running backs this year than ever before. Yes, cycling backs from the fourth or fifth round has given us some good depth. That’s not what the goal is. Gibbs and Robinson could be difference makers.

people also said LBs don’t need to be drafted high. Fine. Look at what good LB play has done to elevate this D

I’d say in the moment it’s an overpay. If Andy gets the most out of him with Patrick Mahomes, then I guess it’s worth it. But I still can’t imagine giving up that type of pick right now for a player the Giants just wanted to get rid of and couldn’t stay healthy even if they wanted him to play.

I went and picked up Toney in every fantasy football league he was available in.  If he can get healthy, Andy will do Tyreek Hill things with him, and he will blow up.

We have a lot dead money in the outyears, and making space in 2023 involves making more - 2024+ it really gets bad when Hurts if off the rookie deal, you kind of have to plan for some austerity now before the IMF moves in.

Oh i did too. I think he’s better than every WR in terms of talent and upside that the chiefs have. I think the chiefs say MVS and hardman are way too inconsistent. Moore isn’t ready to contribute yet as a rookie. And juju is a solid WR but they needed more than just him and kelce to beat the bills. I just didn’t think the giants would get what they did for him. I thought maybe a 4th as he kept getting hurt and they really just wanted to move on from him. I’m guessing a team like GB was involved as they said they wanted a Wr still on a rookie contract

Disagree. A high RB every 4/5 years is not a ton of capital to be top 10 at a position. Further, we need to relieve the running load on hurts if he’s going to stay upright. As long as he is our qb we need a complimentary running game. That’s not a knock on him but without RB play that attracts defensive attention the entire RPO threat is reduced.

2024 cap room will be around $80 million at a minimum.

It would go up some based on his signing bonus

Tell me how that will happen.  Don't just say it, explain it.

Been seeing some stuff on Twitter about Jerry Jeudy possibly going to Green Bay.
