I absolutely hated the fact that they pitched around Alverez in the first when there was no one on and 2 outs. It sends the message to your pitcher that you don’t think he’s good enough to get the best hitter on the Astros out in any situation. That’s a situation I’m attacking Alvarez if he hits a solo shot fine. However anything else there’s still two outs and I’m not pitching afraid of him. And I think it took some of his aggressiveness away because I thought the next two innings he just didn’t look the same after that.
