Yes. Some guys hear/feel footsteps. Wentz never did. How many times did we watch him get blown up in the pocket, flat-footed and completely unaware of his surroundings?

Clowney approached from the side and was actually parallel to Wentz initially. He had no idea who was in the vicinity.

Yea. It's like he plays with blinders on.

Nice little renaissance for Geno isn't it. Even if he plays for those shitcunts.

This is the Pete Carroll revenge tour. Everyone kept saying he was being carried by his draft "luck” and Gus Bradley and especially Russell Wilson. I made the bet because I genuinely believe that guy can ride a dead horse across the finish line.

Seems like everyone plays better in Seattle. Geno, Bruce Irvin, Russ, Byron Maxwell, Golden Tate, Bobby Wagner… Dude is a top tier motivator. Earl Thomas doesn’t give the finger to just anyone

Are you seriously putting some of the blame on Wentz for this?

I'm not blaming him, I'm just saying that he tended to end up in these situations more than most. Wentz was the constant. The hit was a cheap shot, but if you watch the moments leading up to it, it was another instance of him being completely unaware of what was going on around him.

I’m not disagreeing with your overall point, but any QB who doesn’t slide on every scramble is a Fing moron of the highest degree.

3 more yards aren’t worth our season

That defense carried that team to the Lombardi IMO

No joke, It is an alternate mascot for the Seattle football team. So it’s allowed

I think it’s a sub-species of sea bird

The Eagles are coming off of their best win (and complete game of the season) and you guys are arguing about a QB who left the team 2 years ago?

The play that ruined Wentz’s career IMO

Vikings game was the best win.  The Steelers offense blows.

Some may argue that Wentz ruined his own career by not accepting critical coaching/adjusting is game. The opposite of what Hurts has done.

Let's be objective here.  Hurts is playing the position at an elite level.  He still isn't throwing the ball at an elite level.

But he doesn't have to.  He is a threat in the run game, avoids pressure and scrambles for first downs, rarely throws the ball into danger, never puts the ball on the ground as a runner, makes solid decisions in the option game, makes effective audibles pre-snap, throws a nice deep ball, works hard to improve, is respected in the locker room, and is comfortable as the face of the franchise.

And, I think you would grant that he is IMPROVING on his throws, too.  Both as to the when and how.  Timing is better as is his willingness to throw into the tight spaces.  Obviously he is clearly benefitting in that regard from having AJ (my ball or nobody's ball) Brown.

Back in the Day when Andre Kirkenko, who if one isn't familiar is Russian and spoke broken English when asked about his much older teammate John Stockton, Kirlenko said of Stockton, " he has back head eyes"

Wentz back head eyes have bloody forks in them and maybe his front head eyes as well, never seen a QB so horribly unaware of the pocket around him except for maybe Orlavsky with the Lions when he unintentionally stepped out of the end zone for a safety twice in the same game...

Vikings was best win given the opponent but this was the most complete game. Glad to see them not sit on their hands in the 2nd half and put them away properly.

You probably wouldn’t speak like that to my face.  And if you did, you certainly wouldn’t afterwards.

Is that worthy enough for you?

Good motivator I agree. One ridiculous play call aside and he could have secured his second Lombardi too.

Well good thing we’re on a message board and you two, along with 99% of the rest of us won’t ever meet face to face. Don’t be a message board warrior, it’s a bad look.

I’m just done with all the "keyboard warriors” in here.  The blog has turned into a "troll fest”.

Even what he’s done since with clearly inferior teams. How many have already forgotten that this time last year they were coming off a NFC West division crown at 12-4. They’re still drafting well, and they’re winning now with a placeholder at QB. I wouldn’t be surprised if they find a QB (I can’t fathom Geno keeps getting better) and they’re a conference contender again by 2024

Threatening to beat someone up if you ever saw them in personal is the very epitome of what "keyboard warrior” was invented for
