Some of you have made a message board WAY too big a part of your lives if you can't stop thinking about this place when you're not logged in. 4for4 or Bacarty or RTK or anyone do not affect my life in any measurable way, shape, or form.

If you have an issue with someone and you can't stand their content, block them. Simple. Easy.

I find it absolutely ridiculous I even have to type all of this, but some of you are frighteningly obsessive with this place.

I have worked in different levels of the liquor business for over 20 years and I know how much of a jackass David Trone is.

Total Wine's business practices are complete garbage. There is a reason why they are sued consistently in every state they go into. They try to stress or break any liquor law they can to get their way and drive independent store owners out of business. What they love to do is buy common products like Fireball or Tito's and sell it either at cost or way below cost to get people in their stores. Then they buy out cheap wine that only they carry prohibiting anyone from carrying it, then call it their premium brand and sell it at a massive markup.

Once they drive the competition out of the market, then they drive up the price of the common items back to the normal level or higher then it was before.

Jokes on them in NC because they can't sell liquor and every grocery store can sell wine.  I have been there a few times and their deals are no different than other stores.  Of course for wine, I don't feel like I can tell the difference between a $10 bottle and a $40 bottle.

So they train their staff to push people towards their brands, saying that it is special and that they cant get it anywhere else. What the consumer doesnt know if that the $60 bottle of wine they just purchased, if it was not bought up by Total Wine and was available for sale in all stores, its actual worth would be around $15.

They will never go into a state controlled place like North Carolina or Pennsylvania. They need to sell wine to make their business model work.

Interesting. I use them for liquor/beer and the prices are always the best out of anyone local or Publix for liquor. Beer maybe not but it’s usually something hard to find so I dunno how that compares.

But for my stuff (aged Scotch, etc) BJ’s wholesale Club is the way to go.  Blue Label for $230 ish. 
 

The Glenlivit 12 for around $60 or so.

 

Total Wine is all over the country.  Not PA but that is because only the state and craft distilleries can sell the hard stuff.  But the wine selection at my state store is better than Total Wine.  

This is why I missed the antics yesterday.  It took a very long time to build this.
