4for4 was never banned on PE.com.  I was, for something stupid.  Good thing Dave Spadaro got me reinstated.

I got banned for a month on PE.com.  It happens to the best of us.  The banning isn't the issue, or the solution, the only way the tone and collaboration will improve will be with a change in the attitude and behavior of the commenters.

As justrelax said before he left, and has since confirmed in a private conversation, he quit the blog not because he couldn’t bear the nastiness but because he was getting caught in it, sinking to depths that made him ashamed.

Was not a restructure.  Eagles took on the vet minimum and the Bears ate the rest for 2022.

Eagles and Quinn agreed to eliminate the rest of his contract.  Eagles could have just cut him at the end of the year for the same result, just agreed to it now in essence.

It was a restructure with the Bears so they would take on the everything but the minimum. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears knocked off the last two years with that restructure with the Eagles permission.

No one called about Agholor, stop.

His name comes up.

Team X calls Belichick with a trade offer for Damien Harris; the compensation includes a WR.  Belichick says "we don't really need a WR", Team X says "are you kidding?!?  You're playing Agholor, for God's sake!!"

You don't agree to restructure in that scenario.  Contract has x dollars left, teams agree how much each will be responsible for.

I'm referring to later in the season when they are in the playoffs. You don't think finishing the regular season perfect is additional pressure in the playoffs? Being 7-0 is not, but I think the longer it goes it's added pressure. I know what Sirianni said but these are still a group of humans with feelings and emotions.

I disagree.  And I won't call you a name while doing it.

I’m pretty sure some of the New England players discussed it after their season ended at 18-1 against the giants saying they wanted to achieve it but at the same time felt there was more pressure on them with each game they won to accomplish it.

To me, that is exactly what I was saying earlier...people take this online message board WAY too seriously.

The old boards were linked to the Eagles organization and anything that got to Dave he didn't want anything negative to reflect on his team or the site.  Mods can't read every post, we mostly go on reported posts.  So if you think "antics continue unchecked" and you don't like it, report the post so we see it.

Yup.

Look I've warned this blog a bunch of times to just ignore, don't reply to feed the trolls.  We also tried to not give warnings or suspensions but people asked for it, getting sick of personal attacks.  Majority of reported posts are from this blog reporting each other.

I appreciate the discussion it generated with some guys talking about class and respect, others saying don't take the internet too seriously.  I've said myself you have to have thick skin on the internet that shouldn't be news to anyone. But there are still rules.  I didn't even call them rules I called them guidelines.

Any of you that are confused or want to question the mods or whine about unfair treatment I suggest you re-read the pinned guidelines.

Now there was some talk about stay at home moms and au pairs with time on their hands and you guys still want to talk about internet drama.  Turn in your man cards!

He said you can no longer restructure contracts, but specifically said eat money in regards to Smith and Quinn.  That is not a restructure, and you can no longer do either.

Quote

So, eating money -- as the #Bears did with Roquan Smith and Robert Quinn -- is not an option.

Just now, downundermike said:

Exactly. Eating money isn't an option anymore because the deadline to restructure contracts to facilitate trades has passed. If it's not a restructure they would be able to still eat money.

Jamaal Williams could be next

I place an extremity high value on stay-at-home mom's That can be a full time job...and an important one.  But everyone needs to contribute something.  Stay at home mom + au pair is crazy.  It doesn't matter if you have Elon Musk money.  You've got to do something productive with your life and your day.

My best friend from college, a very bright and hard working guy (at the time), found out he inherited a substantial Hong Kong real estate fortune when he turned 21.  He quit his job.  He and his wife have 2 kids.  From their early 30's, neither works.  They have an au pair, a chef, and someone to drive their kids to school.  I have no idea what goes on in that house or how they fill the hours of the day.

No doubt.  Schmoopie left her career to be at home with baby girl full time.  Best decision we ever made.  Baby girl is thriving having her mommy with her.  I can't imagine having a stranger taking care of her during the day.

Eating money and restructuring are two different things.  The contract does not change when one team keeps salary on their books.
