Is anyone else's twitter algorithm messed up the last few days? I'm hardly getting any tweets I normally see in my timeline and I've gotten some other tweets from random ass accounts in Chinese.

I'm not on Twitter, but my guess is someone sabotaged the algo on their way out after Uncle Musk got in the building.

That was without considering injury, as others have been injured/suspended as well. Remove the injury clause and it’s a deal

That is silly.  He cold blow his achilles in practie today.

Are your preferences set to real time? They automatically switched mine to "top tweets" some time ago and it was all just random stuff.

I'm curious who will fill the 53rd roster spot. Many folks seem to assume it will be Marvin Wilson, but I don't think that will be the case. They don't need to put him on the active roster to have him play in games. He can be called up three straight games "for free". So why not do that instead?

Andre Chachere makes the most sense, I guess. He's already reached his limit of free call-ups, so in order for him to play in games, he must be on the active roster. And with Josiah Scott injured, it would make sense to bring him up for good. The only problem with this -- and this may not be a huge deal -- is that if they want to put him on the practice squad afterwards, he would have to clear waivers first. He might not. And besides, with him out of available call-ups, his value as a practice squad player is reduced a bit.

Hence ypg.

Or what’s much more plausible is they finish 13-4, we’re 15-2 and they have nothing to play for week 18. They sit CeeDee who’s 17th in receiving yards at that time, and you auto-null the bet in a scenario that’s probable to happen. What benefit is there for me to accept a bet so heavily weighted in your favor

I normally use the top tweets/home settings because I like to get a mix of real time live tweets but also stuff I may have missed from earlier in the day. It was the perfect balance. Now there can be a sporting even going on and I may see a couple tweets about it. I guess I'm just going to have to use the real time tweets settings more often. I don't know if this is a Musk thing or what. It's a pain the ass though. I refresh after 15 minutes and maybe 5 tweets appear.

Being conservative with Jordan Davis is 100% the right call. Get him right for the playoffs.

As a PSU fan the players you can tell are/were different are Brisker, Barkley, and Parsons.   Joey Porter Jr. gives me a little of those vibes but Nick Singleton could be next in line

Colts game may hurt not having him but Taylor is banged up too. Tennesee/NYG are the big ones they could use him for if he's healthy by then.

Nola needs to deal tonight

Far from consensus with Brisker as the S1, or even S2 behind Hamilton.

I think Pitre from Baylor is having a solid year for Houston from what I've read. Can't say I've watched any Texans games though.

Guaranteed Missed games

  • Texans
  • Commanders
  • Colts
  • Packers

Other than maybe the Packers since they can run the ball, we shouldn't need Davis to win those games. We should be 8 in the box against GB (Gannon will still not do it).

I remember that flare game. I was there for that one. The start of the very brief Bobby Hoying era.

I didn't even remember that Hoying played in that game. But you're right. 8 of 14 for 94 yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs. He made his first start the next week in Baltimore. I went to the game. It was the only time I ever attended a game in old Memorial Stadium. It ended in a tie. I thought Hoying looked mediocre, and was surprised to hear after I got home that Eagles fans actually thought he had a great game.

That MNF game against the 49ers was just unpleasant. It was the only game I ever attended where I was convinced that there were fans in attendance who were only at the game for the purpose of starting a fight. I'm generally pretty tolerant of visiting team fans, but these two dudes just gave off the vibe that they didn't know anything about the 49ers and were only there to be a nuisance. Three hours of obnoxious behavior right in front of me. Not fun. And then there was the performance on the field that was a giant turd. And the flare gun. Ugh.

I would like to see Wilson called up to the active roster.  I think he has the potential to be a decent rotational player.

Here is an altered version of the bet with your terms:

CeeDee Lamb must play 17 games or the bet is null if he does not reach 15th in total receiving yards. If he sits week 18 due to starters resting and was not projected to have gotten top 15 based on Ypg if he had played, the bet is not null.

Conversely,

All of the players who are currently on pace to finish over 1000 yards (CeeDee is on pace for 1100) may only miss a total of 10 games for the rest of the year or I have the option of nulling the bet.

With those terms, the bet is CeeDee does not finish top 15 in receiving yards

Would that be fair? I can get a list of those Names

I agree that it will not be Marvin Wilson.  His value can be readily realized by elevating him from the Practice Squad on a week by week basis.  I also agree that Chachere makes sense if he is going to stay up and be used each week as an active.

The recent punt return reps for DeVonta may be a signal that Covey is headed back to the Practice Squad.

Honestly, it may make Houston a game now.  Pierce runs hard.

I'm not saying upset, I'm just saying uncomfortably close.

I agree it should probably be Chachere. Could definitely use the help on ST too.

I keep an Eagles spreadsheet that includes a column for uniforms. You're right. They've only worn GG twice. The horrible MNF game in '97 against the 49ers (the flare game) and the '02 game against the Redskins that the Eagles won.

For what it's worth, they've also only worn the BG (black tops, green pants) twice. Both losses.

BB seventeen times. Seven wins in a row. 13-4 overall.

BW nine times. 6-3 record. Last time was in '13.

I was there.   The flare was fired from the 500 level right below my season tickets in section 714.

Maybe. I don't like the short week either but I think it should be a comfortable win still. No Collins and probably no Cooks kills any type of passing game they barely had. There next best receiver has 128 yards all year. Load up the box and they should be fine.

Yep. You and I talked about him as a round 1 guy for Philly. We were definitely ahead of consensus there.

Crazy to me that he lasted so long I to the second round. Jurgens looks really promising so I’m not complaining, but imagine Brisker in the Epps role. He’d be awesome here.

Not a PSU fan at all but I love Joey Porter Jr.  Singleton and #13 look special.  The guy who jumps off the tape is #11 on defense.

Sitting for seeding and injury are not the same thing.

Up to you, you made the statement, I gave you bet terms.  Take it or leave it.
