I agree. Let's worry about the 2025 cap instead of getting excited about possible HFA.

I am not looking ahead, as said below

Maybe I'm missing someone but I don't think there's 1 team that has had a tough schedule.

The level of play in the NFL is down some this year, at least so far.   Maybe some teams like the Bucs, Rams and Packers wake up in December and start playing better.

But while there maybe more teams than normal hovering around average or bad who cares?  Let's try to take advantage of it.  Plenty of times when teams win SB's they get some lucky breaks.

I figure you have a bunch of old QBs who are underperforming for different reasons and a bunch of young QBs trying to figure it out - and a sliver of consistent QBs with the requisite roster around them… parity, kinda - a lot of bad.

Again people bringing up the Schedule are acting a little insecure about the Eagles undefeated success.  I understand this Team was 4-11-1 just two short years ago.  Well they turned it around quick.  They made the playoffs and won 9 games last year. Obviously we had a rookie head Coach and a QB starting a full season for the first time.   Now that same group with some added weapons has exploded this season and has the best record in the NFL.   It's a shocking turnaround for a lot of people.  Also many didn't think Jalen could play or improve to this level.   People are also forgetting the Defense has done a really great job getting turnovers and keeping points really low since the Lions game.

The reality is, this Franchise did just win a Super Bowl 5 short years ago.   The team was 7-9 the year before the Super Bowl and exploded to 13-3 the next year.  They are in a Championship Era in my opinion.  With a Playoff Berth this year the Eagles will have been in the Playoffs 5 of the last 6 Seasons.  I know it's hard for some people to accept it's the Birds in the position but it's not like they didn't work hard to be here.   I'm proud of the whole Team, Coaches, Staff and yes even the Front Office for putting this amazing team together.   But they can continue to make corny meme's, The Birds will just keep winning.

Eagles' opponents winning % is .489, which is slightly below average. The team with the 2nd hardest schedule is Washington, in part because they play us.

For reference, KC's opponents? 0.450. No one is saying the Chiefs are frauds despite a weaker schedule than us.

The whole NFL kind of sucks this year.  Lots of QB problems around the league.

There are 3 teams worth discussing and a small handful outside of them that just don't suck.

Would I use that rationale to argue that these Eagles are not nearly as good as certain teams in recent years and over history?  Absolutely.

Would I use that rationale to argue that these Eagles are not as good as other teams in the 2022 NFL?  Absolutely not.  Their ridiculously easy schedule isn't that much easier than other good teams this year.

It's one of the weakest excuses to use when talking football.

"Oh so and so hasn't played anyone"

"You've only beaten bad teams"

"You played so and so and their best LB was hurt"

"They have an easy schedule"

Not even this year but any year this is what you hear.  Every team goes thru games where they are missing important players.

How many teams in the entire NFL have had good QB play this year?  If you have provided your team with good QB play through 8 weeks, you are "elite" on the bell curve this year.

I do think the pro-Hurts crowd is looking like they are right on this one, but it feels like the goal posts have been moved with a new QB landscape right now.

I like coffee.  I really do.  I'm working on a mug right now.  And when I'm done with it, I'll have another.

The goal posts are always being moved when it comes to you people trying to belittle Hurts and his improvement.

The top teams are clearly the Eagles, Bills, and Chiefs

The teams who I still think have a shot if the stars align

Bengals, 49ers, Dolphins, Cowboys, and Seahawks.

Teams who I think could probably win a playoff game but can’t see them overcoming holes on offense…

Ravens, Vikings, Giants

I assume you mean the hole on offense for the Vikings is QB ??

Dolphins will likely be in that top tier by seasons end.  They were looking like the best team before Tua went out.  Now he's back and they are getting back to winning.

One of the factors in the opponents’ record is they have 8 losses and no wins due to playing the birds.  Interesting to calculate the opponents’ record with those eight games excluded.

Quite honestly, Im not afraid of the Chiefs this year.

Bills are too explosive.

Chiefs best WR is Juju who is the type of guy our CBs wont have trouble with at all. And we have coverage LBs and safeties, especially CGJ to help limit Kelce.

I would much rather see them if we reach the super bowl, than the Bills.

This is a fair question.

  • Allen
  • Mahomes
  • Hurts
  • Tua
  • Burrow
  • Geno

Only guys I think have been very good week-win, week-out.  Then you get another tier of guys who are inconsistent, but have produced, like Cousins, Murray, Herbert, Goff, Stafford. Brady and Rodgers have been flat-out bad in some games.

They’re similar to the Bengals of last season only Burrow is a much better QB. We’ll see

The Vikings are really interesting with their trade deadline additions. I hope some other team takes them out of the picture in the playoffs for us.

Until Cousins can show he's not a deer in the headlights in any type of big game then I am not concerned about the Vikings regardless of who they aquire.
