Henry is the entire Titans offense, Chubb, Mixon, and Ekeler are the only other ones worth it, and Ekeler is a steal at that number. Everyone else is not worth their cap hit.

Regardless, those are the numbers, and Barkley being a free agent is going to make the top number even higher.

Miles will get 10 million no doubt.

Green Bay is sinking fast

Irsay and Ballard have a lot more blame for their current team than Reich does.

I find it hard to believe they had to convince Reich to trade for Wentz.  Pretty sure that was his call

Also, hes the HC.  Irsay is the owner and hes not firing himself.  Ballard is the GM, everyone knows HCs are the first to go.

Reich knew all of this was set into motion the day he traded for Wentz and then as he stood by while letting Wentz get crushed for all of their failures.

Really interesting argument made earlier about how the league is moving towards QBs that can scramble to avoid pressure.  Although it's kinda weird to see Fields on that list

I think we're getting ahead of ourselves here, theres still a long way to go in this season. Only last season the rams won a superbowl with statue of a QB with a decent arm.

And literally every year before that.

I think those type of traditional passing QBs are struggling this year, and the new breed of rookies is flourishing. If one of those guys win a SB then maybe we can say that.

Jesus, Bucs win one game and all that's being talked about today is Brady. I thought we were over this.

But... it was yet another 4th quarter comeback for the 🐐.  He must be revered.  If he's not, he gets all snippy.

He really shouldn't be ATVing during the season.

2018 -- Andrew Luck

2019 -- Jacoby Brissett

2020 -- Philip Rivers

2021 -- Carson Wentz

2022 -- Matt Ryan

2023 -- ????

Seems like more of a GM/Owner thing than a HC thing to me.  In fairness, Luck retired during the preseason in 2019 so they were stuck with Brissett, but 2020 is where they screwed up.  They traded away the #13 overall pick for DeForest Buckner when they needed to draft a QB badly, instead of signing Old Man Rivers.

Buckner has been pretty decent for them but not worth the 1st round pick.

Its not about "who's to blame"

The comment was that they did Reich dirty.  No they didnt.  How many years was he supposed to get?

He vouched for Wentz and it was a failure.  Thats squarely on Reich

He also brought in a proven vet in Ryan and it was again a disaster.

Thats how the world works.  Theyre going to start with the low lying fruit and its Reichs turn to pay the piper

Not every year.  Mahomes is as good as anyone at avoiding pressure.

But yes, overall I agree we need a larger sample size to see if this is really a "trend". It's an interesting observation though.

I think he's better than James Conner overall, and I also liked the contract Conner got. Hopefully Sanders is offered something a bit higher than that, but not much. Would give the Birds a way out after 2 years if he starts to break down. Only way he gets below $10mm is if he gets injured this season, or decides to ride an ATV.

If they resign him, do you think they would still get a RB in the draft?

The in-season firing always seems a bit petulant to me - not sure what it accomplishes. The coach still gets paid, his right hand guy generally takes over. Just a circling the drain-type move… unless it’s Chip/Urban Meyer who’s just the worst, and the sooner they are out of the league the better. Frank Reich, nah.

The Christmas Day triple header is

Packers @ Dolphins

Broncos @ Rams

Bucs @ Cardinals

That's a Castellanos strike out

It's an organizational failure.  I have no particular loyalty to Reich or Wentz, even though I have an affinity toward both as they had no small role in bringing a Super Bowl.

Whoever kept pushing for a veteran, past prime QB instead of drafting and grooming one with a pedigree is culpable in the end, but ....

If you can have a "Call of Duty" clause for Kyler I would think a "not riding 500 lb open air roll over risks" seems reasonable.

I once had a patient who had a lacerated spleen and several broken bones.  He was being pulled behind an ATV riding on the back of a attached upside down car hood when his friend on a different ATV ran him over.  Kid was dumb as a bag of rocks but I gotta admit that was the most entertaining way I saw someone end up in the ED.

Who would have guessed at the beginning of this year that the only good team on that list would be the Dolphins.

Had to check 10 times because I swore I was getting got by a fake twitter account.

Clearly, Reich is to blame for everything.

They brought in an outside head coach with no head coaching experience to be an interim coach?

Has that ever happened before in any sport?

FYP

Frank Reich was in a pretty bad situation. They were supposed to hire McDaniels, then he backed out so the Colts hired Reich. Luck was injured and didn't play well leading to a bad 1st year for Reich. After his first season there, Luck retired. Irsay then gave Reich Brissett, Rivers, Wentz, and now Ryan. I don't know which coach would have success in that situation.

Irsay snorted all the pills on a Monday morning

The Colts did what we made fun of the Texans for almost doing.

Nevermind - I didn’t know Jeff Saturdy was available.

Are we sure Saturday even accepted the position? Because at this point I absolutely see a scenario of Irsay just naming him the head coach without even asking.

They went with a High School football coach over anybody else on their coaching staff?!?!

I know Jeff Saturday was a phenomenal player, but my god I'd be pissed.

NFL should investigate the Colts for obviously tanking. Sam Ehlinger and Jeff Saturday, are you Fing kidding me?
