Rooney rule doesn't go for in-season hires??  Don't they need to interview people before going off the reservation?

He's an interim coach. Not the same process.

Saturdays high school coaching record is 20-16 too

All this Colts drama will end with Nick Foles playing against the Eagles, calling his own plays...

Colts and Saturday coming up with the playbook

That was Reich's move?

And we don't know what Reich did or didn't do for these players behind closed doors.  But, there's something about having integrity that doesn't allow some people to air all their dirty laundry publicly.

What Reich did to Wentz was dirty.  Don't talk about integrity when everything you need to know is right there

And yes, I can guarantee that Reich vouched for Matt Ryan.  Are you saying he was thrust onto Reich and he had no choice?

You guys have rose colored glasses on for Reich.  Hes not that guy.  He has been awful for the Colts, he deserved to be fired

We're also squarely in "Carson Wentz: Coach Killer" season.

Philly fired Dougie P while Carson was still on the roster.

Indy fired Frank Reich 8 games after it got rid of Carson.

Frank Reich will be fired ... ???

Which is silly.  Let's say Saturday takes over the Colts and they go undefeated under him.  They couldn't just take the interim label off of him.  They would have to interview a black candidate to fulfil the rule.  Said candidate would know it's a sham but they check the box off.

I really hope the rule goes away.

Tbh matt Ryan was the dagger in this one. If Ryan wasn’t awful i think reich is still coaching.

Funny thing is they will probably still beat the Raiders.

Paving the way for Peyton Manning to be the OC.

Guarantee Jerry Jones is getting ideas right now.......

Hey I can fire McCarthy and bring Tony Romo in as HC.

No way Romo leaves the booth.

Peyton would probably be phenomenal at running an offense and calling plays.

I don't think he's interested in being a coach though.

I'd bet a large amount of money that Peyton was the first choice to be interim HC.

IDK, I think Irsay is full on tankathon at this point for a new QB and thus the willingness to take on a novice coach and gut game time on-the-field operations. Hard to see how they can be competitive

If it's strictly money then no.

Romo has lost his luster as an announcer, at least to me.  If JJ asked him you don't think he'd strongly consider it?

I agree but it's the Raiders.

Money, power, drugs, and booze.  Why do we make fun of this guy so much again?

I agree but it's the Raiders.

He makes $17M a year to work one day a week.

At home games they do a raffle and 4 fans get to call plays for one quarter each.

I co-sign this.  It would be hella entertaining.

When I was younger we had a dune buggy that my dad made that we used to take to the sand dunes in Utah a few times a year, every year someone was taken off usually by helicopter with a broken neck, sometimes it was dirt bike dudes doing back flips and stuff but more often it was somebody stupid enough to ride a 3 wheeler and end up in a wheel chair for life.👎

No, because he has zero coach experience, let alone head coaching experience.

Jerry would pay him that.  He loves Tony.

One would argue that it's not enough.
