If you don't want to read, in short it says that Lane said he might play 2 more years after this year.  Knowing that, do you bring Dillard back with a plan to move Mailata to RT in the future?

I'd draft Lane's replacement in the 2023 draft. Some good mid round tackle prospects. Let that player learn under Lane's wing and serve as the team's swing tackle.

From a cost perspective, best to let Dillard go and use a high draft pick on a replacement. Easy in theory

Just so depressing to think they traded up for him and he's started 9 games in 5 years.

I think we're getting ahead of ourselves here, theres still a long way to go in this season. Only last season the rams won a superbowl with statue of a QB with a decent arm.

And literally every year before that.

I think those type of traditional passing QBs are struggling this year, and the new breed of rookies is flourishing. If one of those guys win a SB then maybe we can say that.

Pocket Quarterbacks struggle when there's no pocket, either due to injuries to the O line or just poor O line players. That's not news.

Mailata in the 7th makes it a wash.

And Dillard is old. He's already 27. By the time he would take over for Johnson he'd be 30.

No.  I look to draft a developmental RT this year.

Definitely one of those picks that didn't work out.  Considering the ongoing grief Mike Mamula still gets, this one has fallen out the radar

Getting Mailata in the 7th was hitting the lottery for sure but doesn't make it a wash at all.   The Eagles traded 3 picks to get Dillard.  Mailata has also taken a step back this year.  Still a promising LT but I'm now expecting him to make a bad play every game.  Last year you knew he was going to dominate.

Didn't realize Dillard was that old already.  So yea, that idea doesn't make sense anymore.

Mike Mamula is unfairly considered a bust.

31.6 sacks, 8 FF over a 5 year career. The king of the QB pressure.  PFF would have a hard on for his QB pressures.  Definitely not what the workout warrior stuff projected but people act like he's Jon Harris.  Passing on Warren Sapp makes it look even worse but even Sapp had the character concerns.

I view it as if they took Mailata in the first and moved up using a 4th and a 6th to get him and took Dillard in the 7th, it would be fine. So that's why I say it's a wash.

I think Mailata will be fine. He may not even be over that shoulder issue yet.

Whoa we get Jordan Howard AND Djack

Nick Sirianni talks to Frank Reich once a week and still brings him up in press conferences. Guarantee you he'll at least offer him a consulting gig for this season. Doesn't mean Reich will take it.

Frank gets paid thru 2026. He need not be in a hurry to get another job though he wouldn't want to wait too long.

In fairness only getting djac for like 2 drives before he leaves with an injury.

Eh, I get how you are looking at it but just don't agree.  Fudging a 1st round pick is fudging a 1st round pick.

Is it 2016?

DeSean Jackson has one good game a year before he gets hurt. Hope it's tonight.

I need 18.7 out of Lamar tonight.

He's not the worst first round pick in the Howie era or even since the Super Bowl.

Yikes - I saw him flexing his arm and it seemed like his elbow.  I am pretty sure that a severe tear requires Tommy John surgery.  Hate it for the fans of the Bills.

How bad was the passing game for the Titans last night

So bad that nfl.com's stats line didn't even show the individual passing category!

image.thumb.png.212b5ee6b81106791f725b5fc4c269f6.png68 passing attempts?  Must be an Andy team.

Sapp's character concerns were that he smoked pot.  It was dumb to pass on him but I agree Mamula wasn't a bust. He really put up decent numbers and was probably an above average starter. I do wonder how invested he was in playing. I think he retired after a foot injury but it didn't seem like it was necessarily something that was career ending.

I hope that just ends up being something he can play with and lingers all season and not something that ends his season.

So you’re hoping he’s hurt. Big shock
