Remaining Saints schedule.  Five of their last eight on the road.  Play four more until their bye.  Watson will be back for Cleveland game.

If The Steelers beat the Saints, Detroit beats the Bears, and the Raiders beat Indy the Saints pick will in all likelihood rise to #3 after Houston, and Carolina.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

That would get us into the catbird seat for either the top position player or a QB to be dealt… the 2018 scenario you provided could go a long way in replacing the 2017 era players (assuming an above par hit rate).

2 straight.  Why does it seem like more?

Because the week before that was the bye.

I want to see 7 losses in a row for the Saints!!!  Hate that team!  The last game vs. Carolina...well lose that one too!  I mean the Saints should be thinking about how to make their 2nd rounder as high as possible seeing as they don't have their own 1st rounder lol

I would be just as happy with Jalen Carter, especially if Howie can drop back a couple of spots from 4 and pick up an extra Round 1 pick next year. or a late Round 1 pick this year

Here are the comparable trades for Picks 3 and 4 from prior years

2018   3 = 6, 37, 49, next 2nd

2003 4 = 13, 22, 116
1992 4 = 6, 28
2014   4 = 9, next 1st, next 4th

Optionality is a wonderful thing. The extra 1st means you don't "have to" do anything.

I think Carter ends up the better pro.  I love Will Anderson.  There's nothing not to like about him as a player and a person.  I also want young talent at edge in the worst way.  The Eagles have nothing in terms of up and coming, young talent at DE.  Anderson isn't a DE though.  He's a 6-4, 240lb stand up pass rusher with little to no coverage skills.  I think for him to flourish in the NFL, he needs to go to a predominately 3-4 team like Baltimore or Pittsburgh. 2021 Will Anderson looked to be better than 2022 Will Anderson but Bama isn't Bama this year either and he isn't playing bad at all, just not flashing every series like it seemed last year.  There have been games this year you want him to take over like last year and he just isn't.

Who knows what the Eagles will be doing on defense next year and I know, you draft top talent, not talent to fit a scheme.  Reddick is playing at a high level in this scheme and even his coverage has been more than expected.  Was it against the Texans he made that great PBU?  Last year, Will Anderson in college has no PBU, no INT and QBR against him was over 100.  He had a pick 6 this year but that was off a bobbled screen pass and he was just in the right place at the right time.  It wasn't the result in his coverage abilities.

Jalen Carter is dominant and would thrive in any scheme.  He can play inside in a 4-3 but he would be a very stout DE in a 3-4.  I think he offers more position flexibility.  My concerns with Carter is he doesn't fill stat sheets at all.  For as dominant as he is, he has 4 sacks over 3 years at Georgia, all while being surrounded by elite players.

Both are going to be tremendous NFL players.  I would LOVE if the Eagles get Will Anderson.  Having Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Marlon Tuipulotu and Milton Williams would be a tremendous interior DL.

Historically this team has been about having a strong interior pass rush with rotating run defenders. We have the stout run defender in Jordan, and maybe Tuipulotu can get to be a nice rotational guy. Cox and Hargrave are aging, and I don't see us resigning both. Much as it pains me, Hargrave is the smarter choice to resign if only doing 1. That makes DT a sneaky need. I'd be thrilled with Carter, but the more I think about this draft, the more I want us to be in a scenario where a QB needy team is willing to do a big deal if we have a top 10 pick and moving down...

Eagles vs Saints week 16, assuming they have everything locked up at that point (first round bye/homefield). Do you play the starters to beat the Saints for the higher draft pick?

I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to grab a blue chip player.  Use the other first rounder to get additional picks.

I know stats aren't everything but Jalen Carter's stats do make me nervous.  10 tackles in 6 games and 1 sack.

Kelee Ringo has me intrigued as dude is a physical freak just don't know if he's more man to man or Zone and what direction our Defense will go once Gannon takes a head coaching job

No you play to win the play offs. Your starters may play a series or 2 at most.

Just found this in a mock draft site -

This Jaguars' defensive line has the potential to be scary. Carter has been hampered some by an injury this season but still has 11 pressures on only 58 pass-rushing snaps. Last season, Carter led the Georgia defensive line with a 90.0 pass-rushing grade.

Dumb...politicians have little to do with any of those things.  Central bankers (Jerome Powell), Putin's ridiculous war and the Saudis have driven WORLDWIDE INFLATION.

No talking politics here- but, if you think spending BILLIONS of money the government doesn't have (printing Billions) has little to do with inflation, then you should not be allowed to vote.

we need to stock up on jalen's tbh

Watch the stock market rally if/when Republicans win seats, and then come crashing down further after layoffs start.

If you are voting in NC and need advice on judicial candidates, let me know.

Mid season predictions:

MVP: Patrick Mahomes

Offensive POY: Tyreek Hill

Defensive POY: Micah Parsons

OROY: Kenneth Walker

DROY: Sauce Gardner

COY: Nick Siriani will win it, but IMO what Daboll and Caroll have done is more impressive given their rosters talent level

GMOY: Howie Roseman in a landslide

Why is Gainwell offensive rookie of the year? Hes not a rookie, and he isnt doing much.

Hurts should win rookie of the year.

Fletcher Cox easy for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Gotta think realistically OROY is going to be Pierce or Walker III

GMOY: Jimmy Isray
