EMB Blog: 2022 Regular Season (and beyond?) - NO POLITICS

Why not? I think what is and is not important is in the discretion of the Attorney General. The Attorney General and the public have an interest in keeping employers from engaging in sexual harassment.  Additionally, the people ho could bring lawsuits were potentially coerced to sign Releases and NDAs.   Also there's the part of it where they wrongfully were withholding deposits from season ticket holders that did not renew.  Expenses in pursuing a civil suit against an employer like this are expensive.  Law firms may be reluctant to file suits given the length involved in potential litigation and the costs.  NFL teams also get public support in the form of tax breaks for stadiums. The Commanders are actively lobbying in Virginia for taxpayer support for a new stadium.  The NFL is a large and publicly important business.  If a team has defrauded fans, harassed employees and the NFL assisted in the cover-up, then that is of public interest.

Why not?  More why?  What is the importance to the general public if a professional football team runs a **** place to work at?  It's just more wasteful crap from our government.

He literally explained the why. Read it again or keep trolling, whatever floats your boat

I’m mad

I noticed something that I found interesting the other day. On the quarterback sneak where Hurts intentionally took it wide and got the first down (by the way, I think you only run that on third down, not on fourth), Landon Dickerson did not move when the ball was snapped. He stayed in place. It looked intentional, with the idea of Mailata then blocking down inside to create space outside for Hurts. My guess is that they wanted to avoid having the opponent opposite Dickerson crashing through to trip Hurts up.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it looked to me like a cool blocking concept.

Not sure who to root for tonight. Carolina winning could help our pick get higher but the Falcons winning makes it harder for the Saints to win the division.

Because the Commanders are funded by the general public. The lawsuit is on behalf of the citizens of DC

"With this lawsuit, we're standing up for D.C. residents who were repeatedly lied to and deceived," Racine said at the news conference. "They have a right to know the truth about the companies they support with their hard-earned dollars."

In the event it succeeds, I’d imagine the winnings will be redistributed

Atlanta. It's not likely Carolina wins enough games to pass New Orleans, and Atlanta winning pushes NO down in the rankings and makes it less likely they can sneak into the playoffs. Also, Falcons would get another division win, which helps if they beat the Saints in a rematch.

I’d rather cheer for any team that is currently worse than the saints. The saints aren’t sneaking in anywhere, they’re a really bad team with a bad qb and bad coach.

Don't personally insult them when you get in the heated discussion.  I have never seen someone banned when there wasn't a clear violation of the guidelines.  I don't really like the banning of posters.   I would rather Bacarty, 4for4 and DUM were not banned from the board. I also don't like posters who ignore the content of a post just because they don't like who is posting it.

When did this happen? I could've sworn I just saw down under mike posting earlier today.

4for4 and Bacarty were suspended about a week ago... 2 week suspension.  DUM today for 28 days, I think.

They are just suspended so far.

Makes sense now why reading the blog was much easier as of late. So neither were actually banned then, just suspended?

It does seem smoother in here. More discussing, barely any arguing.

The blog cruised through the Tuesday elections like a blind man driving across a topless beach in an ATV on cruise control.

Makes you wonder what he pm’d the mods and VA to get 28 days

What did downunderkaren get suspended for?

Sounds like a class action unfair and deceptive trade practice law suit with treble damages.  These outstanding types of claims and potential criminal charges are going to impact the sale.  I don't know how someone would pay the cost of a franchise knowing there's the potential legal liabilities they would be assuming.

Don’t you suspect this ties to seat licenses and has an arbitration clause in it and a damage limitation clause too?  I would be shocked if it doesn’t.

I wish this tweet would mention if he was moving around with much of a limp and if so how bad of one.  The one time I got a bad high ankle sprain I couldn't walk right without pain for well over a month.

Openly attacking the mods and apparently he was complaining to them about other suspensions saying they were unfair. And he was bothering VA about the mods which is against the guidelines.

Warnings have been given out for posting politics in the blog.  You have had enough warnings and it's literally in the topic title.

Also because you are all going to ask, DUM has been suspended.  His new warning points put his total in suspension status for 28 days.  He continued to publicly say the moderation is unfair and harass several mods and VA to complain and petition.  You all have been told not to go to VA about moderation.

Anyone else want to F around and find out?
