  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Ahh.

Feel like if they just got rid of the "report this post" feature there wouldnt be a problem for the mods. Too many sensitive people spamming reported posts is the problem. The only option these people should have is the ignore feature. If they dont use it then dont bit** about someone being mean because they called you out for something retarded you said.

I didn’t see that yesterday. I had to stay away from here for the most part after people defended scrapple.

Happy Veterans Day to my Brothers and Sisters out there.

As far as the mods go….who appointed them? Or did they volunteer? And if they volunteered, how can others join to help them with all the complaints? Or is it just a group of "old boys” that don’t want anybody else in the "club”? My issue again is a lack of transparency with them. There’s no avenue for a poster to appeal a suspension they may feel is unjust (and this has nothing to do with the recent suspensions). It’s all….I dunno….we all paid for this board to get up and running, yet some posters are able to wield a lot more power.

I guess it’s a real cool club, and we’re not part of it

That's a giant "woe is me" post right there.

I don't know how it was determined here, but where I did it, people were nominated by other mods.  We looked for people who were level-headed, humble and able to disagree with someone agreeably.  We never looked for power hungry folks, nor whiners.

You donated money to a cause to help the board move from one place to another and not have to go to Reddit or elsewhere.   Your donation doesn't give you extra rights on the EMB here that you didn't have at the previous board, because the idea of moving from one platform to the other was to try to keep everything status quo.   There is no incentive for the mods to be mods other than to keep the boards operating smoothly.  And if folks could actually act civilly maybe there wouldn't even be a need for any moderation at all, other than the odd double post, thread title change, etc.  But some people believe that they can behave how ever they choose with no repercussions.   Actions have consequences.

I don’t think asking for more transparency on a board that the members paid for is woe is me. I think it’s a reasonable discussion to have

That's not the case here with 2 of our 3 active mods.

Mods nominating more mods is not the way we want to go.

But we can definitely use some new mods with a little different perspective.

I don't think it would have helped any of the 3 who are suspended now.  They had it coming.

Completely independent of that situation,  I'd just like to see 1 or 2 new mods join the team who are not from that same old clique.

Maybe there should be warning points for over reporting.  Some use it as a weapon.

He wishes he had the hands of Moss, he's a great corner but he has dropped his fist share of interceptions.

Like I said, I could only share my experience from when I did it on another MB.  I can't speak to how it happens with the EMB.  But, that was how we did it there.  And it worked fine.  Of course, we were just discussing aquaculture and a fun relaxing hobby.  For the most part there were fewer personality conflicts than on the EMB... though we did have our share.

I hope you are right.  Mod6 seems frustrated by all the reporting in here yet many profess to not use the reporting tool so it seems that the reporting and conflict is likely limited to a select group.  Maybe that’s the real issue.  I agree that the reporting tool should be reconsidered.

It's the same crew of people that run around here obsessively trying to draw hostile reactions out of people.  This place will function much smoother during the time of part of that crew's suspension.

People this up in arm about mods discussing it nonstop for a week now.  Adding more mods won't fix that it will just result in more nodding and more complaining.

That actually makes sense. I’ve never played actual organized football but that’s how I felt playing rec flag leagues.

You’re the biggest troll in here and contribute largely to a lot of the problems. But go on with your holier than thou attitude

I honestly hope you never get banned. You’re way too entertaining

Most posts on here aren't of reportable quality on other fora. If there is racist abuse, etc, then obviously report it or heaven forbid, reach out to a mod via DM and discuss it like an adult if concerned about something.  Using the report link because someone disagreed with you is grade school stuff.

Moving on...  I did laugh on TNF saying the game next week is a good one.  It could be Willis vs Rodgers; one is a raw rookie and the other has no good WRs.  Has the potential to suck bigly

Y'all take this place way too seriously. The mods are here are fine, and mods selecting new mods as needed is the way it works on free internet message boards. Go over to Reddit or Rotoworld and you'll see how much more strict and petty modding can get.

Buncha children.

I can’t figure out if he’s that dense or just that good of a troll. Either way, I’m amused
